I just confirmed D1 status on my billet LE, with a estimated shipping date of 5/24.
You do realize ship dates for FCA are BS and constantly change?

I've ordered many FCA vehicles. I'll break it down.

Ship date is not ship date but an estimated build date. Often the vehicle is actually built weeks to months after this date. Once the vehicle is finally built you can wait anywhere from a few days to a few months before it actually ships. There have even been many cases of the jeep being built and going to someone else or being scrapped and the original buyer having to start the process completely over.

Moral of the story: ship date means nothing.

Yes, understood. Just reporting what I received from the dealership.

Hope yours is one of the ones that runs close to the estimate. My JLUR was about three months after the initial date. Drove me nuts. Previous orders weren't quite as bad.

I got a “firm” ship date of 5/24
Do you have your window sticker? That’s easy to check. If you don’t, it doesn’t exist. If you do then please share.

Understanding the build status.

B - Your order exists but isn't fully confirmed yet. Plant doesn't know about it yet. Systems are checking the order to ensure it's valid in terms of sales codes.

C - Your order is "subfirm". The plant can see the order at this point but it's not fully committed to building as the supplier may or may not be able to get parts to the plant to build the vehicle.

D - Firm order. Your order now has a name instead of a number:

D1 - The date is set for your truck to be built. The plant knows when it should have parts sequenced for building and it should start to be built within 48 hours of the date set.

D2 - It's going to be built. The computers are being programmed, materials are being sequenced, framing is about to occur.

E - Frame. Metal is welded together to form the body and frame. The body is inspected at the end of this step to ensure it's within tolerances.

F - Paint. The metal is coated, primed, sprayed, clearcoated, polished, inspected, and hand finished if necessary.

G - Trim. The engine is installed in the chassis, the interior is installed, the chassis is mated to the body, the bed is put on. At the end of this, your new vehicle is built.

I - Inspection. Your vehicle goes through a battery of shakedown tests and measurements are taken to ensure the vehicle looks and performs as expected.

JB / KZP- Body Vendor. The vehicle is sent off site to have a spray liner put in, steps, etc.

JS - Storage. Waiting to be shipped.

KZ - Shipment. The truck is ready to be shipped. The dealer is actually charged for the truck. As you all know, this can be a source of delay. Typically you see me put two statuses here: Awaiting Shipment and "Staged for Shipment".

KZX - Delivered to your dealer!

All of ours have too. Just be patient. The hardest part in all of this is the wait. When I ordered our JLR last September it took six weeks start to finish. I expect this time to be at least six to eight weeks, maybe longer, considering the off site work needed for the spray liner and tonneau cover installs.

I will put 20 bucks down and send it to you PayPal if there is not atleast one LE sticker on the tracker by May 22. (2 weeks from today). I think there will be close to 20 or more.

The proof is in the D1 status that many have gotten. This information is from Jeep regardless if your hear it from the dealer. Which means parts are on hand and the build scheduled. Baring a full production line shut down those est ship dates are going to be close to the build dates even if it doesn't ship right away.

If everyone was still in D status I would have a different take and would agree that maybe the story has some truth.

I can now say that I will be keeping my 20 bucks.

What pricing did you pay on the LE and what state are you in? I have to decide by tomorrow to accept my LE offer from Jeep, but i'm not seeing anything below MSRP yet in Southern California.
