I have three Jeep dealerships close to me. The dealership I bought my truck at, it's sister dealership about 30 miles away, and a competitor Jeep dealership. Just out of curiosity I went thru the process of trying to schedule a service and all three dealerships are booked out 6-8 weeks. So I called and everyone one of them and they all basically said the same thing - they are slammed. Hopefully I don't have an serious warranty issues down the road lol. Just curious if you all out there are seeing the same thing. I came out out a Ford and never really had a challenge getting it in for service work or warranty stuff, never more then a week out.
Here in Albuquerque too. 6 weeks out.

I think it's just that people caught on just how crappy dealer work is....all the ones by me are short so many technicians.

If you're a qualified mechanic with a good resume most dealerships are gonna be the lowest tier of employer out there....

Jeep by far has one of the worst dealer networks. I'm interested to see how the Wagoneer does since they're essentially trying to pass it off as its own brand because the people spending $100K+ on a vehicle are not going to tolerate the service received. Walk into any BMW, MB, Lexus dealer, etc. and it's a completely different experience.

Exactly, we are considering a Wagoneer - I've recently had experience with a dealer as my 8-speed auto had to be replaced, now the dealer was fine and did everything they could on my gladiator . But it's a basic place, and a lack of loaners (I got a beat up renegade), it's hard to imagine the same place dealing with complicated troubleshooting on a Wagoneer - which is a very new vehicle, I myself don't need much from a dealer, but if my almost 100k vehicle needed major warranty work I'd be worried, also what loaner am I going to get (they don't even have wranglers to loan out).
Long term I'm not sure how the Wagoneer brand will satisfy this higher end customer / price point.

Apparently, they do not have enough mechanics. Champion in Lansing, Mi detailed to me that they cannot get anyone qualifed, or certified. 2 different dealerships now have had my vehicle 4 days past my appointment time and date. Warranty work is joke, mechanics jacked my Mohave up. So haven't fixed my issues.

Let me know how it goes. We need to make a service guide on this site with a directory of dealers worth going to for service.
They were good and as of now will exclusively use them for service. My only gripe is that they would not order the part until they looked at the jeep. IMO they should have ordered the part before my appointment. I had to drop off so they could confirm the aluminum box and then schedule a second appointment after the steel box arrived at the dealer. This made for a second 10 day delay waiting for the part to arrive. Could have been worse and still was well before any other dealer would even look at it. The jeep drives way better and my drifting issue is minimal now.

Your experience is not unique when it came to the steering box TSB replacement. The replacement steering box at least early on was a parts constraint and most dealerships would not or could not have one on hand. The first service visit is what drives them to have the ability to order it.

I can't even get anyone to look at a service issue in a timely manner and there are a bazillion dealerships here in Houston. I booked an appointment for them to look at an issue with the aux battery and they told me I would need to drop it off for 2 to 3 days for them to even look at it. Mind you, I wasn't trying to get it repaired, I just wanted them to see what the issue was, order parts and then bring it back when they were ready to fix it but they didn't even have anyone that could look at it, even though I had made an appointment for them to do so.

“Fully staffed “ is totally different today. With inflation and the rapid rise in wages, Best Buy (and other companies) can’t afford as many employees as they used to. A job that used to pay $10-12 an hour is now $18-20 an hour.
