Any time. The sensors fail when their seal fails and they get filled with gear lube. There was gear lube in the external connector on mine. I just cleaned it out and connected the tazer fix I linked. That was a year ago. Not a single issue since.

I don’t have to clear any codes, do I? Or will the plug and play automatically clear anything?

It’s not a persistent code. Same warning occurs if you just unplug your locker sensor. As soon as you have the inline fix in place, it’ll go away. Nothing to clear.

Got the part today. Mine didn't come in any type of fancy protective box. It was in plastic and then inside of a padded envelope. That worried me a bit but product looked fine. Installed in under 30 seconds. Took me longer to put on two zip ties, lol. My sensor goes off once the truck has been at highway speeds (gears are warm) so I cannot tell if it worked, but will know shortly. Thanks for the advice. I hope this fix lasts a while.

I put one of the Z ones on my Mojave in 2021@ 91 miles and just about at 50,000 now. I am an anal electrician so I wrapped those small wires and Ty/rapped into a tight bundle. My dealer is great and we talked about back in 21 when they would replace the whole axle and we both thought that was nuts and he was fine with the Z wave thing and will honor my warranty anytime I decide to , but my problem is I can tell when my rear is locked and for all this time everything works, indicator lights work and why even have a sensor . I doubt I will ever get it done…..Jack
