I'm finally bringing mine in on Thursday, it just gets so annoying having a pulsing hum right at highway speeds. I am concerned at this seeming to be fairly common as well, I don't know if @JeepCares is tracking these but I hope FCA has something to fix this in a reasonable amount of time

Your frustration is certainly understandable, iblowatsports. If it would be of interest, I would be more than happy to have your situation formally documented and connect you with a case specialist for an additional layer of assistance while you work with your dealer. Please follow up with us via private message to proceed in this manner.

Update: During a little rain, on a straight shot of highway, i engaged it into 4hi to see if this changed the pitch or tone of the vibe. No difference at all. I'll ve reporting to a jeep service dept in exactly one week. In the mean time, I'm just under 400 miles, 340 of which were just driving it home from the dealer i bought it from. If you get any info when you bring yours on Thursday definitely post back up!

Maybe check out the recall for the rear driveshaft, see if yours is included. Some shafts were released without the proper lubrication in the joint,

Will do, interesting that we have differing results with what affects the vibration though. I also have been looking at the driveshaft recall stuff, I checked my sticker and did find that my truck was manufactured 5-19 which is within the recall dates but I have yet to get the recall notice for my particular VIN. Will be asking the dealer about that as well

Shouldn't be the problem for the OP. His was built after the recall date. In fact, Sting Gray shouldn't have any trucks that are recalled.

I'm 7-19 build date. So, probably no new driveshaft for me. Looking forward to the update from a trip to the dealership

Update: have my appointment scheduled for next monday Sept. 16th. Going to address the following: 1. abrupt transmission downshift even when trying to brake as gently as possible
2. a mild yet noticable clunk/clack when initially starting the vehicle and shifting into Reverse in the morning
3. Most importantly, best described...harmonic type of vibration between 55mph and 63mph, intermittently noticable by feel as well, but always repeatable by sound at the afformentioned speeds. Will update on Monday if i get answers same day.

Well I just got off the phone with the service guy. Would you know their techs weren't able to reproduce the vibration? The guy then went on to tell me that they "checked everything, balanced the wheels and tires" (which I have repeatedly told them, they already did and that is not the issue). He even went further to ask me if I only experienced the vibrations on a certain highway, which I can only assume he actually thought I am dumb enough to bring my truck in because of a bumpy road. I made them keep it to look at it again tomorrow after yet again spelling out the symptoms (because it's clear that they're not actually reading the emails I sent going in depth about the issue). I'm sure I will be told yet again tomorrow that they "don't feel anything", par for the course with my experience at this dealership

Yea sounds all too familiar with mechanics in general....maybe go for a ride WITH the tech? Thats what i will be doing. I've already confirmed with the service dept that they will allow that.

What's so frustrating is that the vibration isn't 100% consistent as to when it will happen. It's always in the same speed range and will usually go away when I put it in 4wd, but it doesn't happen 100% of the time which makes this look like I'm just a whining customer. It also doesn't help that I'm younger, seems like they're pretty comfortable telling me whatever is easiest for them and expecting me to accept it

Oh, hmm....now yours is sounding different than mine. Mine is very consistent and repeatable at 55 through 63. Have you attempted recording the sound or if anything visibly shakes in the cabin of the truck while it's happening? That could be your proof if so?

Just got back from picking my truck up, the service manager went for a ride with me in another gladiator followed immediately by my truck to see if I could show him the issue. Thankfully, the other gladiator did not have the vibration and mine was very apparent this time. He took some notes and is reaching out to a field engineer on it to see what the possible cause could be. At least that's an improvement from earlier today, will update as things go

Wow. Thumbs up to that guy for taking the time to be thorough! Hope it leads to a solution. I'll be sure to suggest that method if my service dept tries to give my possible issues the shoulder. Haha.
