It’s interesting to note the different treatment between the JT & JL with regard to the power train. The discrimination gives me the impression that jeep views the V6-8sp pairing as the utility option.
The V8 is cool but I’d like to keep this thing for a few decades which means replacing the engine at some point and the v6 is just far, far cheaper.
For the cost and being a body on frame platform, replacing the power train at end of life is a viable path.
