So long drama story short, drove 3.5hrs to buy a CPO JTRD outright for big money cash.

Noticed on the test drive and way home that Stop/Start wasn't working, dealership said the battery just needed to charge. Ok. Fast forward a week and a half and the JTRD has been in the shop twice for Stop/Start, Final trip ended up in a flashed PCM and the a cascading PCM failure.

New dealership ordered a backordered PCM that didn't show up on time even being expedited. While my jeep was in their service yard some night mechanics provided me a performance low back pressure catless exhaust. So then had to wait on back ordered/insurance bought exhaust parts with very flexible delivery times. All the whole I've been stuck in a loaner 2020 Jeep DumpAss that just gives me anxiety due to C-PTSD.

Here is my delimma/question

@JeepCares has been on it and Ruby is amazing but they said they were going to find some way to compensate me for the drama.

1st by possibly making my monthly payment($0),
2nd Giving me a service contract(already have Ally from previous dealership).

If this was you what would you expect/want as compensation?

Id say your lucky your getting anything ... They aren't really under any obligation to do so ...

I got my warranty extended to 7 years 100k for my troubles ... It seemed fair to me and I was happy to get it ...

I think you have to figure out what is even in the realm of things they can offer you. If you want them to buy it back, ask for it. Otherwise I kinda like the free warranty. Is Ally a better service contract?

I didn't ask for it. It was offered.

I typically opt for service contracts when I'm offered. The guy who did our Trane heat pump 12 years ago told us one date, the warehouse messed up and had the wrong stuff, but still got it corrected a week later. The installer felt so bad he offered either a whole-house humidifier or a 10 year no cost 100% coverage warranty (not for mouse damage, but most other issues)
I opted for the warranty. 8 years into it, coil leaked - yeah, a huge expensive item 100% covered.

Only YOU know your issues in this - I don't want to assume but as a vet, I have to imagine there's some real stuff going on that only you experience and know what it's like (I've two good friends, were marines, and I've seen what happens when one of them is in a crowded place with a lot of noises and anything that might also trigger claustrophobia - I don't take that stuff lightly as I have severe anxiety stuff going on myself)
Anyway - if they are offering a warranty - if your service contract cost you - will they compensate you for the cost of that and maybe extend it?
It would be more "cash out of the account" for that than if they simply gave you a service contract but....... it's you and your personal situation and what you've gone through.
If I were Jeep, I'd be bending over backwards to keep a vet satisfied.

Yeah had some bad stuff happen in small vehicles while serving so small vehicles like my wife's tiny Ford escort cause me anxiety from hell. I've been driving f350-f550 and Kodiaks for years. It's not alot of fun thinking time to go for a drive, eat a pill.

Just seems it's been compounding anxiety for a month and a half.

So 45 days or so? While mine was in the shop for that long getting a new fuel system put in after the CP 4 catastrophically failed. I was offered an extended warranty. I ended up getting their max (not lifetime warranty) because it's not offered anymore. But what I was offered was 6 years 125,000 mile. I ended up getting 7 year 125,000 with disappearing deductible. Granted I wasn't happy about not having my Gladiator. But I got a gasser Gladiator rental completely free. Except my gas I had to put in.

Another turn for the surreal.

As my service advisor said "There's a Problem with your nipples"

Apparently now my JTRD also needs injectors.

Looks like a negative on parts but I'm gonna money for my monthly payment on a no loan jeep($0) and 10 free oil changes and tire rotations.

Apparently some Heep Care people don't comprehend that I don't have a loan on my jeep and just paid $60k+ outright for it.

Oh and we missed another parts deadline and my jeep is still in service.

I'd go for the extended Jeep warranty! 125k miles disappearing deductible and free rental car. THen drive the piss out of it.
