My first thought when I see something this ridiculous done to a truck is:
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. 🙄
If only we could get that memo to the people who think just because there's a hitch their truck can tow anything.

Yesterday I saw a friggin Honda Ridgeline towing about a 25-26ft center console with two outboards. There is no way in hell that thing can emergency stop with that much weight behind it.

According to the SAEJ2807, the Ridgeline can tow up to 5,000 pounds. I think it's good that consumers look at the SAEJ2807 tow ratings, but that doesn't mean it's a great tow vehicle for those maximum loads, especially at highway speeds.

All of that makes sense and lines up with the "Just because it says you can doesn't mean you should" position most of us subscribe to-- If not for your own safety, then for that of others on the road.

Quick Google'd reference check- a brand new Yamaha 19' (AR190) ski boat tips in around 3100 dry on the trailer. Filling its 40 gal tank would add another 240lbs. If you follow the never more than 75-80% of total rating method, you're good with the Ridgeline.

If you jump up to the 25ft equivalent, (AR250) dry on the trailer is just over 5200lbs. If you fill the 75 gal tank before you head to the ramp (as we all do), you're adding another 450lbs to that. Most likely that Ridgeline I saw was hauling in the neighborhood of 6K if not more since older boats aren't exactly as light as modern hulls.

I know it might be difficult for some of you to believe, but back when Jeeps were made to be work/ utilitarian vehicles.... Not many made, but it was a thing.

One ton rear axle and a SRW to DRW adapter and it's a done deal.

I wouldn't do that to a gladiator, but the hard lines to those air tanks are works of art.

JC Whitney used to sell dually wheel kits years ago. You got spacers to mount on the hub, plus inside and outside rims. You could get either 5, 6, or 8 lug set up.

I call bullshit; these are all AI generated. I've never - NEVER - seen any Jeep like this parked at the mall.
You're right. There's a distinct lack of angry grilles and color contrasting accessories. Clearly a deep fake.

I wouldn't do that to a gladiator, but the hard lines to those air tanks are works of art.

I like everything about the execution of this truck. Would I own/do this? No. But I certainly appreciate how well they did it all. Except the angry grille.

Ahhh... how I miss the JC Whitney catalog.
