You brought up something that has me really wondering.......... consider this:
Rubicon towing 7,000 pounds
Mojave towing 6,000 pounds
But - look up the specs for the 2025 (maybe 2025) for the Mojave - it's now 7,000 pounds.
Your right. I just check with like 3 different dealer websites and look

"

  • Sport and Sport S: Up to 7,700 pounds with the Max Towing Package and automatic transmission and 4,000 pounds with manual transmission
  • Rubicon: Maximum towing capacity of 7,000 pounds with automatic transmission and 4,500 pounds with manual transmission
  • Mojave: A 7,000-pound maximum towing capacity with automatic transmission and 4,500 pounds with manual transmission
  • Willys: Up to 4,000 pounds regardless of transmission type
The Max Tow Package is only available on the Sport and Sport S trims, making these the best options for drivers needing maximum hauling power.

How is this possible? Did they upgrade the suspension ? Mojave ?

Dealership said it was excessive for the miles.

Mojave is only 6000 because of the suspension.
That was always the case however I check out a few dealer publications and papas is right it does say 7000.

Doesn't the Mojave have the strongest knuckles ? More advance steel reinforced frame ?

Yes,.
It's basically like the diesel, but I believe there are some added reinforcements as well.

it seems jeep has some parts they want to off load.
And you know, because buyers needed even more confusing options.

Thanks for confirmation. I had an diesel overland for 4 years, Loved the torque and miss that school bus chatter lol. I Waiting to see what next year brings if i will get my 4th and most likely last gladiator for this current gen. Next build will be base on max tow and i plan to increase weight and always looked into beefier knuckles ,ball joints etc.

I really hope they open up options for us and stop treating us like step children to the wranglers.

Me; “Hey Jeep! It would be rad to get a Gladiator with a hemi. And it’d be great if the front trail came on the technology group for a Willys.”

Jeep; “Best we can do is a package nobody asked for that’s all esthetics for the Sport S.”

🙄

I dunno, I'm pretty sure when you strap two turbos to a V6, it's gonna boost the power over an NA V6 lol
Yes, but that has nothing to do with the fact that these have throttles that give you the last 2/3 of response at the end of the throttle pedal travel. It's like a SBC with a Quadrajet - your first 3/4 of throttle pedal travel is only the tiny primaries, then that last bit opens the larger secondaries, giving it full carb CFM at the last.
If these came factory with a selection for "sport mode" where the throttle was remapped more linear, and it changed the shift patterns, I suspect at least a few people would be more happy with the 3.6.
In stead, you have to travel well past 50% throttle pedal to get even 1/3 of the throttle body response. It's far from linear.

You'd be surprised, maybe even shocked (my guess based on what you said) to find that Jeep, and in fact, all companies, spend massive amounts on market research before releasing such things. Participate in a few of those things and you'll find out just how far they go to determine what will move or not.

Interesting that forum people say "no one asked for it" without any basis in fact - while some of us have actually participated in said research - and asked for such things.

I agree!! We cant make everyone happy however i do understand some peoples frustrations. I would love for the future JPP Hub store to give us a hybrid Rubicon Mojave style hood that has real heat rejection functions and air intake ability.
