Traded the Rubicon for a Mojave :)

Jeep Gladiator Jon's Jeep Build 20211009_112701

I've been debating it for a long time.

I've not once engaged all the lockers.

I've disconnected the sway bar 2 times.

At 40,000 miles it was time to move to new rig and man is the Mojave smooth... I'm a believer that it rides much nicer.

Also amazed at how stiff the steering is compared to the Rubicon, super awesome in my book.

I look forward to this new Jeep Build. Round 2!

My biggest “concern” on that is the awesome shocks. Run a 3.5” lift and you need to lose the shocks or run some funky shock extensions setup.

Now…that’s no reason to not buy a Mojave, just adds a hurdle….but then again, my 3.73 gears in my overland are a hurdle. Basically same cost to fix that as new shocks.

Totally agree!

That was my concern, and I don't think I'd ever go over a 2 inch lift - which was a big reason I even debated.

Thankfully, AEV (or some brand) has a 2inch puck lift that keeps the stock shocks.

Otherwise, yes Rubicon would have been a much better option :please:

Well, started already..

First was the steps and tonneau cover:

Next the lightbar!

I had to get a hair longer bolts from Macs Hardware, but that did the trick!

Then added some headlight guards :)

Debating it..

I actually am considering leaving it and just throwing on some 35s.

My wife is pregnant, and not sure at 5'4" she really wants to deal with height right now.

I didn't mind the 37s on the Rubicon regeared, but prior I didn't like that it wouldn't stay in 8th..

Idk, maybe I'm over thinking it; my dealer sent me an offer, buy 3 get 1 on my 35s, so really tempting..

However, thank you :) I'm in love with this color combo!

Well..

I've a total of 606 miles on my Jeep and have to schedule my first service.

I have a weird noise that shows up when I slow down from 25.

I thought I would put it in 4 Auto and 4 High - seems that 4 Auto makes a jet engine noise under the same circumstance.

4 high seems fine.

I'm a little disappointed but not losing hope, I really enjoy the Mojave.

Hi Jon,
This sounds quite frustrating. If you'd like additional assitance alongside your dealer, feel free to send us a PM. We'd be happy to help.
