With Jeep Performance Parts releasing the Steel fenders, does anyone know if there's a Gladiator model? I know the front fenders will fit, but buying the kit to only use half of it seems foolish.

If you haven't seen them, they look pretty damn good and use the factory (LED) signal lamps and everything.

EDIT: seems like a couple of people beat me to this.

Yea they do look great and of high quality. But I kinda like the idea of plastic energy reflecting fenders, that either pop bock after a hit with maybe a scratch. Or if hard enough just pop off with little damage done to the attachment points and body. However these will take a harder hit, but when hit hard, instead of easily popping off, will cause damage being ripped off and destroyed. A friend’s Wrangler hit a tree off roading in a trail, that as I watched it happen had bent quite a bit and just right back after contact. Leaving just a blemish on the mat black trim piece that buffed out. I can’t say that metal fender could fare as well.

Have you ever seen a tube fender pushed back into the tub? Not good.

Much easier to replace a plastic flare than the tub.

These don't mount to the fender. They mount to the sub frame behind the fender.

Oh yea I know that. But that’s what I’m concerned about, all the extra damage caused to the inner structure, instead of folding up and popping out/off!

I'd rather replace a handful of the plastic retainers or the flexible plastic fender than have to get body work done because my steel fenders ripped the sheet metal and/or bent the body just below the hood and in front of the door.

I've seen people roll their jeep onto metal fenders and the fenders surprisingly held up well and protected the body better than I'd expect.

Never know what can happen or at what direction/amount force will be applied in an accident. Do what you like. :)

Everyone’s thoughts on the plastic fenders mirror mine, or have. I’ve clipped mine on the JT and my JL and the worse cost was a few clips.

I do like the looks of these, especially if they provide a little more up travel.

Anyone ever figure it if Mopar is going to sell the JT version?

I've seen them in their jt concept builds but looks like the only available sets are jl only

Maybe depends on the hit. A lateral hit maybe is more even and spread out.
I had the poison spyder flares on my jku. I smashed the rear side of the front flare backing up in a tight spot and it partially folded the flare and deformed the quarter panel a little.
