Hi have a question. I am about to take delivery of a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Sport. I already have plans for different things I am going to do. However, I do know one thing, you can run 37's on it stocked. I however, going to install the JKS 3.5, my local custom shop that has been installing these lift kits on Gladiators for a while now, well since they have been out with the kits. They have some in stock at there shop, and they are putting the Fox Shocks on there with the kit. I have that down, and money for, however it now it comes down to Wheels and Tires. I need some opinions on this, as I am planning on some time in 2022 dropping the axles that come stock, and putting the XD ProRock 60's front and rear, which will have either 4.88 or 5.38 gears. However, my real question can I run 40's or 38's with the 3.5 inch lift on the Gladiator, or do I need to push it out to 4.5 inch lift for the 40's?

From the JKS website:

Notes:
Rubicon Models net 3" Front/1.5" Rear Lift, Non-Rubicon Models new 3.5" front/2" Rear Lift, final ride height is the same for all models.

You need to take into account your other add-ons that may cause you to loose height. IE: Heavy bumpers, winch, cargo rack, blah blah blah. All of which will cause you to loose height & lessen tire clearance.

Bumpstop tweaking will play a part as well as wheel offset, steering stops & tire widths. With tires that big, I'd also be looking at a steering assist system to go with the new axles.

You most likely need a guy like me who builds custom Jeeps with custom axles & custom suspension set-ups to help you figure out the best approach according to your needs and pocket depth.

Hey Joe,

Thank you for this information. I got a great shop that does Jeep custom work for many years here were I live. They are big on the JKS Lift kit for the Gladiator so that is the plan for the 3.5 and they have that kit on hand for me. I am really curious about clearance on the 38's looking at the Nitto's as that is what I am running on my JK. Love these tires. I was hoping with that lift I would have the fender well clearance and would be no rubbing. I was wondering what others are running and just getting some insight while I wait on my Gladiator to be built by Jeep and before I take Delivery on it. I know I am not changing out the fenders on, as I got matching color fenders. I will be removing the inner fender flare. Also, on the front bumper I got the steel one from Mopar so I can drop my 12,000 winch on that bumper, going to run that one for a while. Yes I will be putting a Road Armor so I can put a tent on top of that.
