Just had Enrico's install Dana 4.88s on my Overland JT. Previous on stock with 3.73 and 35s I had lost so much power and mileage was terrible. On hwy I rarely saw 8th gear and moment a hill came, I'm on 4th/5th. Struggling!

Today with 4.88s I can feel the power again. Taking it easy for the first little while but already on hwy at 80km, I'm already seeing 8th.

For overland or sport owners thinking or have 35s, I'd definitely recommend 4.88s.

Nice. But how much that'd run you? Im sure it was pricey. Ive thought about it. Im on 35s on my Overland.

Also do you have a taser mini to adjust the CPU to the adjustment. With all the issues/updates with the taser (which I have) if I were to do this, I feel like something like an update or unmarrying it for whatever reason would mess it up trying to drive it on 4.88s with the CPU not seeing it anymore. I could be wrong but I just feel like its one of those upgrades that if you didnt have to start, could cause complications unless theres a way to permenently y tell the CPU its changed

The diffs installed were around $2400. Worth every penny!

I already had the tazr lite installed, permanently attached. It was easy to reprogram the diff ratio, took a few minutes to look at the instructions. Do it all on the steering wheel controls.

Don't have issues with service leaving the tazr in. Just give them a heads up before so they expect it.

Sport S with 373s 35x12.50 2 “ Mopar lift. I have no problem with staying in 8th gear on the flat of course with an 8 speed trans it’s going to down shift in the hills. 85-90 MPH across the Nevada desert from Reno to Salt lake City low RPM 18-20 mpg. I will keep my 373s

I get 4.88s at the end of March (assuming they are in stock by then like they are supposed to be). I am looking forward to seeing the mysterious 7th and 8th gears people talk about.

Congrats ! Loving the Torque ! Once you do gears, the only thing you regret is not doing it sooner. Enjoy

Denial is a common symptom. In town and on a completely flat stretch of pavement, 3.73 is “fine.”

My JK rubicon had 3.73 gears. Once I went to 35s it drove me batshit crazy. I went with 4.56 and all was good in the world again. 4.88s would have been even better. With my JT on 35s 4.10s feel ok at best. I plan on making the move to 5.13s before I move up to 37s.
