TV in my main level shop (restorations and automotive stuff), TV in 2nd floor of shop (wood working, etc), TV in my wife's quilting/sewing room/family room in fully finished walkout basement, TV in corner bedroom, TV in porch/sunroom, TV in kitchen - oh, yeah, TV in main living room.
They may be up now but they are a fraction of what they were even a decade ago.
Nice thing is I can connect any device at all, tablet, phone, desktop, laptop, Chromebook, anything with an OS and a browser and screen and watch TV through our 4 tuner Tablo.

My wife has a habit of stocking up on things when they are on sale - that meant that last year - toilet paper? No worries! She had a closet full that lasted until the end of the year when it was back on the shelves again. So I told her a month ago when I saw this coming - don't stop doing what you been doing - if it's on sale and we'll use it, buy it now.
2 freezers full - she bought a quarter beef a month ago, we've got dozens of pints of raspberries I picked through the year, 10 5 gallon buckets of apples in the garage (she's going to make a dozen or so apple pies, and quarts of apple butter and apple sauce) - I said - stock up, honey!
Hmmmmm?, what’s your address??

What an interesting time to be alive. Remarkable technological advances, access to unlimited information and so on. Everything happening right now is as it should be and Iam eager for everyone to awaken to the reality of our situation...and they will, little by little wake up.

This thread full of ignorance and idiocy……and people that know very little of modern politics.
Reminds me of a saying.........."Everybody is an idiot except you and me, but I am having doubts about you.".

What?
Full of ignorance and idiocy?
How about your arrogance in putting “all” in one basket.
That’s ignorance.

Damn, y'all just can't help but get political about everything. Global supply chain shortages causing rising prices across the globe across almost all industries in every country... "ITS THE DEMS I TELLS TA!"

Please forgive my ignorance, but what happens when the lights go out? If you can’t hold it, is it really yours?
if that happens it won’t matter if you got a stack of green paper to the ceiling, It will be worthless and I’ll be at the family cabin in TN. That’s a whole other rabbit trail though. I do believe that crypto will end up being as big as the internet….if the lights stay on. ??
But I’m not an expert it’s just my opinion.

Well sometimes I feel like I am using a type of crypto now.
Automatic payroll deposit, automatic pre authorized payments, online banking, debit machines at cashiers. During the early stages of the pandemic, cash wasn’t always accepted (filthy germ laden bills).
I have had the same amount of cash bills in my wallet now for about a month. But not trusting electronic devices to work forever or all the time, (cyberattack, power failure extraordinaire, Zombies, ?) I have my stash of on hand cash in my safe.
My fear of crypto is I suppose the lack of a physical object as opposed to real cash. With the different types of crypto currency it also comes across as another stock market commodity, with so many variables involved in its value. I suppose that can be said to be similar to the greenback.
Which site am I on…….?
O yeah, Jeep.?

Literally. People are quick to jump on their least favorite President when these issues aren't the product of them at all.

These issues are bigger than the US, but, no let's blame the Orange Man or the guy nicknamed Brandon. It is pretty sad and embarrassing.

Price of oil has skyrocketed and messes with the prices of lots of commodity that the average person could quickly Google, commodities that include GAS AND TIRES. And then factor in the semiconductor shortage and how companies like TSMC, Intel, or GF can't push enough of them out and the snowball gets bigger from here.

As an observer from the north, I see it as not so much as “quick to jump on their least favourite President” as more of a jump on anybody that holds the position currently. Same here in Canada. Probably pretty much worldwide. When your not happy with something or the way things are going, politicians are the easy prey. Sometimes rightly so, but as you know a lot of the current issues are a global situation.

I thought I'd grab another TV for the garage so we can watch multiple games at once.

Those damn things are up 20-30%.
I'm only an NFL guy so The Red Zone is worth every penny.... 7 Straight hours of football without a single commercial.

The Thursday, Sunday, and Monday night games are just so damn slow---and the commercials make me want to swallow a bullet ;):beer::beer:

People in this thread pretending that internal politics of the largest consumer economy coupled with a direct assault on domestic oil production has nothing to do with the jackasses promoting those policies.

The USA went from a petroleum net positive exporter, to dependent on Russian and Suadi oil imports in 8 months.

LET'S GO BRANDON!

Say why please. I agree that the current shortages are the result of shutting down everything as a result of Covid---but the root cause is misguided leadership.

One of the things I learned in my 30+ year career as a Marine Officer is that real leadership means getting as much intel as you can get in the time allotted, input from all sides and then making a decision. And being willing to admit wrong and change the decision if new contrary intel/info comes in.

Our "leadership" doesn't work that way.

The Infectious Disease guy said shut everything down and quarantine. His input being absolutely right from his perspective. Where was the input from the economists, the commerce department, etc etc?

No way in hell is our "Leadership" going to make a hard decision. If they take the medical science path---there is someone to blame when other things go wrong. I personally feel that shutting down our economy is what has caused everything we're dealing with. And more deaths and many, many more lives ruined because of lost jobs and wages.

If you think that the immediate shutting down of the pipeline and complete change at the border---day one without ANY study on it at all isn't very much affecting our future then I don't know what to think.

Are many here making comments absolutely clueless as to how our government functions? No doubt you're right. But the common sense of the guy on the street is often better than the answer/policy developed by these so called smart guys with their multiple degrees. More importantly the guy on the street absolutely recognizes that the laws and policies developed don't ever seem to apply to those that wrote them.

So please enlighten me about your comment.
