Good luck, Jay. I tend to believe that in between selling cars they have enough downtime to keep you updated on where your build is. But it's squeaky wheel getting the grease kind of thing, if you don't ask they aren't going to check. Once you have a VIN, go straight to Jeep chat!

I had my VIN in 5 days also. Pester your dealer for that VIN, they work for YOU. As of yesterday afternoon, my dealer said no updates, so build may not be started yet. When I went to Jeep chat, I got a very different message.

That is almost exactly what they told me today. Told me to check back in another week which will be approaching the 50 day mark. I guess the dealer telling me 68 day average from order date to delivery is looking to be what it might be

You just go to the chat site and ask a live rep. Took me about 3 minutes to get connected. She got my info right away.

Placed my order on 2/25, Mojave almost maxed out on options with website msrp 63k and negotiated to 55.5k. Checked on the status today and was told by an online rep that the initial build has completed and is awaiting inspection to move on additional equipment installation. Is this in line with where it should be at the 16 day mark?

Supposedly mine was built over two weeks ago and is still waiting for inspection and additional equipment installation. I think that probably included bed liner. dealer told me they have bed liner dine when it comes in because it holds up the build. Other options can too depending on what model and/or drive train you choose

Does he have a VON ? In my experience they assign both in less than a week. Most people here have their VIN and VON in about 5 days. Perhaps they forgot to order wouldn't be the 1st time that it's happened

I received my VON the very first day. I’m just not sure if I need to be bugging the dealership to check on the status of the VIN. I’d love to track the progress, I’m excited!

Thanks again Chip! Finally got through ... Ordered on 3/3 and is now awaiting to ship .. They stated it may take 2 weeks as a full load of vehicles will be required before they roll out ... either appears my Mojave was just waiting around to be ordered because dam that was fast!

Wow - really cool, just did this. Was told the parts are gathered and the build will begin soon.

Maybe that is why mine is in limbo, hard top insulation, bed liner and probably half the other stuff I chose with my diesel. Wish the dealer would have told me. I'm over 40 days now and not yet built.

When I was trying to build it on both the Jeep site and at the dealer if you select the Diesel it gives a warning that its taking off the hard top insulation, bed liner and cover. Something about the turns the assembly line are taking between gas and Diesel - so I'm told. I already waited over 1 month and didn't want to wait any longer for fear of loosing the Sarge Green option as it could be axed any day now.
