Keep the MBQuart 6x9's or go with JL 6.5 components in the roll bar?

Hey all, I know there are tons of threads but asking for some opinions. Just a little back story. Owned a JL Wrangler with the 8.4 alpine and upgraded to the stage 6 MBQuart system. (Own a Gladiator Rubicon now with 8.4 Alpine.)When I did, I used all MBQuart speakers, amps and sub kit. I was always a little iffy about the 6x9's that came with the kit. It may have been my tuning or it could have been the speakers. The system overall in the JL was plenty loud enough for me but I always felt the roll bar speakers could have given me more. I've installed quite a few systems over the years in various cars. One thing I didn't want to do was cut the roll bar plastic. I was considering going with some Select increments pods with JL audio C2-650 components so I wouldn't have to the cut the plastic. Any opinions on this? (I was gonna go with MBQuart 6.5 components, but the JL's seem better over all and the crossovers are tiny in line).

I am not audio expert but JL makes nice stuff. I have the Alpine system and if you look they have 4" speakers in an area that could hold a 6x9's in the soundbar. When I had the grills off I think you would still be cutting out plastic for a 6.5.
I just bit the bullet and bought Gladen 6x9's for soundbar just going to use MB quart adapters and cut out area. For under dash I went with Gladen component 6.5 RS-x Slim with Metra pods and put tweeters in dash area with a Helix 8 channel amp and a bazooka 6.5 sub under back seat. Still going to run the stock Alpine deck.

For 6.5 the JL's sound really good so does Focal, Hertz and for coaxial the Polks are nice. Sound is always subjective but generally you get what you pay for. The JL audio is a higher end brand so you will probably be pretty happy.

In my experience, you will get better sound quality out of the 6.5 over the 6x9. 6x9 is louder but the quality isn't as good
