Hello All,
I purchased a brand new Willys 2021 gladiator with premium audio. From the very start it was pulling to the right, basically changed lanes when I took my hands off the wheel or braked. Then while detailing I noticed my whole bumper was loose, odd since Im super careful with it, even have a dash cam and I knew it wasn't hit. Went to service Department at my dealer and after 5 hours basically said, get your car, and said bumper isn't under warranty... I said what about steering, he said I don't have the papers but your car is outside (basically GTFO) so I drove with the same problem, and found a pic of my car BEFORE I bought it and you can see the bumper was loose. Immediately called jeep cares and they finally got my bumper fixed, dealer refused which is just wrong. Anyway so the steering was bad and I brought it back and had a tech in the vehicle and he sort of said in a nice way, just live with it and steer left. But they did admit it goes pretty hard to the right. They said it needs a new caliper, but I just lost faith in them at this point. I go under the car with flashlight and boom, GUNK all over my rear passenger side wheel, on the inside.
AT this point my service department doesn't even take my calls, typical, they ghost and do all kinds of irreprehensible stuff, so I found another service department. Right away they discovered it and took possession of my vehicle as they said its unsafe to drive. WOW.
Initially they said 11/29 for the part but it looks like it might get done faster.
brand new car! has only 2000 miles on it, hardly drove it yet.. dealer was in Delray Beach..Tampa area? Heard of quite a few douche bag dealers and service departments down there.
Where you outside the 3/36K bumper to bumper warranty already?
Sounds like you are situated with a new dealer. Hopefully they get it squared away for you.
I wouldn't be scared, shit happens to all cars. Outside a few crappy dealers Jeep is taking care of it.First post here. trading my Durango Tow n GO 2021 for a Mojave 2021 tomorrow. I went through all the 47 pages, and now I am scared of the trade. I guess since 90% of the gladiator are leaking from the rear seal that I will be in the pool also.
If by 90%, you mean probably 5, if that…First post here. trading my Durango Tow n GO 2021 for a Mojave 2021 tomorrow. I went through all the 47 pages, and now I am scared of the trade. I guess since 90% of the gladiator are leaking from the rear seal that I will be in the pool also.
Just fix my calculation %.If by 90%, you mean probably 5, if that…
This can happen with any manufacturer. At least it's something that can be fixed early on. I had an accord with an infamous hydraulic tensioner and a misfire that would foul your cylinder because the computer would pump fuel into it when it was shut down on the freeway. Both problems would conveniently arise after the warranty ran up. And Honda used hydraulic tensioner for decades despite being prone to failures. To my knowledge they never fixed the misfire issue and that's why I'll never buy another car from them. At least jeep is taking care of this.First post here. trading my Durango Tow n GO 2021 for a Mojave 2021 tomorrow. I went through all the 47 pages, and now I am scared of the trade. EDIT
Update - truck was dropped off at the dealer yesterday. Received a call in the afternoon, no axles were readily available but a different dealership was willing to give one up/ship it out and should arrive tomorrow. Crossing fingers to be back in the truck end of day Thursday.I’ll add another, JTM manual, 6500 miles, and with 11/2020 build. Appointment scheduled a couple weeks out.
I know you edited this - BUT - keep in mind, you are visiting a hospital to see how healthy the human race is before deciding to attack and take over the planet.First post here. trading my Durango Tow n GO 2021 for a Mojave 2021 tomorrow. EDIT
Mine was built in April which seems to be close to the cut off from what I have seen.I know you edited this - BUT - keep in mind, you are visiting a hospital to see how healthy the human race is before deciding to attack and take over the planet.
You are visiting the complaint department.
Out of the many thousands of Gladiators sold - most of those owners will not be on this forum or on fakebook. OF those who are forum members, whatever that number is - even if it's as few as 1,500 - take the number of that 1,500 who have said "yes, mine leaks" and you are likely only a percent or two. If there are 5,000 members, then the number is under 1%
I have not checked the build dates lately - but have any owners checked in with leaking axles that have a build date in the last couple of months?
You are far more mechanically inclined then I. Could this get bad enough to cause a clunking noise? It mostly happens when braking on an off ramp but I'm hoping I can drive it around until the parts show up.I know you edited this - BUT - keep in mind, you are visiting a hospital to see how healthy the human race is before deciding to attack and take over the planet.
