Update on my full housing replacement. Up to about 1000 miles now and still bone dry. Definitely the longest I've gone so far without the leak reemerging.

Here's to hoping the new year is leak-free for you.

So what is the latest build date this has been seen? Cursor search shows a April 2021 that I can find. Anybody beyond that?

I am just going off memory as it has been a while but I have read through this entire thread once upon a time. Anyways, from what I remember there was one in May and only reason I think I remember that is my build date is like 4/23 and I remember thinking that is the first one I’ve seen after mine. That is the latest I know of

Thanks for the input. I tried searching the thread and found one person who mentioned a May 2021 build date but they stated it in the context of not having a problem.

I will dig some more.

Gotcha. Maybe that was it. Well, mine is leaking and I have a 4/23/21 build date if that helps. It is one of the latest I’ve seen.

My Willys is a June 2021 build and I continue to monitor it so far with no issue. I just was trying to see how far this issue has creeped down the supply chain. Not trying to get a false sense of security but just general curiosity.

Completely anecdotal but I have not seen a June 21 date with a leak in my reading yet. Fingers crossed for you.

Update: about 10,000 miles now on my replacement axle with no leak, bone dry. Now I need to go knock on wood.

I agree 100%. I guess the first 2 were just replace and send it on its way, this time the service manager is going to inspect the entire thing. As I told the service writer, the tech said the seal looked perfect, so if it's not the seal it has to be the other mating surface, which is a little more labor intensive. I'm not putting a bandaid on something to last until it's out of warranty, then it becomes my problem.
Just got a call from the dralership, they will be replacing the entire housing. Part on order, not ETA yet, but i will be able to drive it until it come in.

I really wish one of these was close to home as I'd ask them to call me when they do the work and I'd pay them to be able to pull that axle out and inspect the seal and tube bores for seal and bearing. I've give 'em 100 bucks to be able to take one of these apart that's leaking.
