Yup. And I have a feeling the misfires are working out of the population now as time moves on. I don't believe that the misfires were as numerous as the leaks........... could be wrong as the internet isn't a good place to judge actual numbers.
The leak is a 2021 issue, the misfires were 2020 and on - so it makes sense one problem is being resolved or fading while another comes into view.
Like all other automotive problems, we don't see anyone complaining about the Vega engine consuming oil or Pinto fuel tank issues. ? Hopefully those have all been fixed by now.

But - on the misfire, I recently learned another fellow has a misfire on his JT - I figured since he's had it for quite a while he'd have a lot of miles on it, nope, only about 6,000 miles so there may still be some pop up as they get over 5,000 miles or so on them.
Mine is just shy of 24,000 miles, no leaks, no misfires.
When the next generation of Gladiator comes out. Hopefully everything will be fixed. But I think when that happens. It will have a different set of problems because it will be electric.

Yes it's ok as long as it doesn't get bad enough to soak the brake pads or rotor. It takes only a tiny bit of oil to make a mess so unless it starts leaving large wet marks on the floor it won't be low.

Just to follow up on my post #1149. Dropped my JT off at the dealer to get this looked at yesterday and was repaired the next. Just happened to have the axle sitting around I guess. Mechanic noted grease on the brake pads causing the soft feel I complained about. Per Jeep factory guidelines, only had to clean the pads, e-brake, and the surrounding areas and reinstall. Not sure that sounds correct to me, but that is what I was told as to why they did not replace any brake parts. @JeepCares feel free to chime in.
Will watch both the axle leak and braking over the next few weeks to see what happens.

Only comment on the leaking was that I had a bad rear seal. No specifics.

Edit: Checked my SO as well and specs out part number 68471168AA SHAFT-AXLE REAR

Well, less than 500 miles later and the leak returned. A new axle shaft assembly (housing) was installed about 2 weeks ago and now taking it back to the dealer to be fixed again.

So the entire axle assembly (differential) was replaced and it's leaking also???
Do you have the part number or any dates or other numbers from the new assembly?
I'm beginning to wonder if there were a few of the problem assemblies still in the depots or supply channels and the latest haven't worked their way down to customers yet.
They are trying to track part numbers and other info as possible to see if there's a pattern or if people are getting the same part number that the originals were.

This is crazy. It's odd how prevalent this is for a certain run of vehicles(by date) and yet both housings and shafts are continuing to fail again. Forgive me if the answer is buried in the thread but did the housing assembly part number change in late 2020?

I believe mine has failed again(shaft assembly replaced so far). Just put on 35 inch yokos and hoping they don't go there as it seems some other members experienced.

Not the entire axle assembly, for some reason the service advisor and other folks have called it a "housing". I had to clarify with the service advisor that its the right shaft not the differential housing. I could not imagine the right axle housing being replaced since its a pressed fit and all.

The right axle shaft assembly was replaced. Ill get the part number and post soon. Ill check the R/O for part number(s).

Edit to add part number:
Qty. 1 of 68471168AA - shaft axle rear
