I use Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner and Leather Conditioner. 2 separate products
Smells good and works great on my Mojave seats.
I just tried this stuff today. Did the seats in my wifey's Jeep and mine. Worked really good. The seats no longer have that dull look. Plus I did my motorcycle jacket that's 25 yrs old. Brighten it up.

I have cloth seats, but bought some Rubicon leather seats instead of buying another seat cover for the rear. I treat them with either Pecard leather dressing which has no smell. Or Griots 3-in-1 which has the leather cleaner smell which I actually like. I think the Pecard is way more conditioning so I use that as more of a long term protectant. So far after a few months there is no wear, but my dog is 10 years old and 70 lbs., but he goes with me everywhere.
That's why I waited for a leather equipped JT to come along too. I'd heard Katskin was a lot tougher than the regular factory leather which is why I went with this truck. Turns out, they refuse to give any useful instructions on upkeep. I should have taken care of this last fall but I didn't so here I am...

Where and how did you buy the Rubicon leather seats? I have cloth from the factory too and have thought about switching to leather as well.

They show up on FB Marketplace and on Ebay all the time. You can also pay for Katskin to get your current seats recovered.

Yeah i am leaning towards doing the katskin on mine. How easy was the process for you?
Mine are the Jeep Factory Katskin, it was ordered with them. SO it was super easy. Katskin is normally installed by local installers. The hardest part is deciding on colors and extras....

Have you sat in the Mopar leather? I’m asking because I honestly want to know which leather is better quality. I’ve said it before, if I could get a saddlery shop to make me some seat covers out of full grain leather I’d do it in a heartbeat. Those would be some crazy expensive seats though. I want that thick grade 8-12 holster leather. :CWL:

I have the "premium" OE Nappa leather in mine. It's not that great. The leather seats in my F150 with 30k more miles look much better than the Jeep seats.

Curious what that option cost if you know?
My window sticker says it was $1750 in 2021...

I have, and I didn't see a lot of difference, the regular leather is supposedly a little thinner and katskin uses leather in a couple of places that factory is vinyl I guess. But that could have changed since. Mine is a 21 and I've not looked at the differences since.
I hear you on the amish saddle leather. That would be awesome. Stiff as a board for the first year though lol

Katzkin regularly runs sales of $500 off; another good brand is Alea leather, comparable or better than Katzkin. I had Alea leather installed by AEV in my JKU (pic attached), I've had Katzkin in another vehicle (no pic). The factory leather in my Mojave X is as good and probably better than either in how supple the leather feels. Installed prices of quality leather by Katzkin or Alea depends on the design you select but usually run from $2,500 to $3,500. The Alea design below was about $3,500 installed. Note: The white spot shown on the drivers seat R/H bolster is not a blemish but a photo image error, the seat itself is perfect. These photos are shown about 5 years after the Alea leather upgrade from the OEM leather. The only product ever used to clean/preserve the leather has been Griots leather care spray followed by wiping with a Terry cloth towel. My favorite because it leaves the seats with a natural sheen (non slippery), not a shiny chemical sheen which I don't like.

My 21 JLUR has the Mopar leather seats in it, and my 21 JTR has the Katzkin leather seats in it. THe JT's are more comfortable than the JLUR's and even more comfortable than the leather seats in the wife's Honda Pilot. I typically use chemical guys or Meguire's leather cleaner first to clean the seats then use chemical guys leather conditioner on the seats. Both of the vehicles spend every day parked outside, so I condition them often (at least once a month, or twice a month in the summer). I like the chemical guy's conditioner because it is more of creamy liquid then the other conditioners I've tried that are more of a spray on mist. It needs more elbow grease to rub in. I don't think the 21 JLUR was ever conditioned before I got it last year, it took a couple of applications over a few weeks to get it nice and soft (don't know if that's the right word for it). They were rough. On my JTR I'm careful conditioning around the stitched logo, but the few times I've conditioned the logo it hasn't affected the color.

Side Note: The Mopar leather comes with the stitched leather door arm rests, center console, and upper leather dash panel. My JTR is just an upgrade from the cloth seats so while I still have leather on the center console and door arm rests, the upper dash is plastic. I like the stitched better.
