This week has been busy for us getting some real winter experience in. So far I haven't gotten my truck stuck yet and it's providing to be very good in snow. Still running the stock Dueler ATs was able to blast my self through some serious snow. This morning one section of road wasn't plowed about 200 yards with about 18"-20" of heavy packy stuff. Bombed through it in 4hi and no TC. Really impressed.

So back to the topic what issues I've experienced. In driving in the actual blizzard I had to stop and clean my wipers off 4 times not sure if this is just low quality wipers or the trait of a vertical windshield. There was one incident where the wiper actually lifted and a chunk of ice got stuck between the wiper and the windshield.

Next issues occurred today with the snow melting during the day and freezing at sundown I'm getting a lot of ice build up. When I went to leave work today the door took 4 tries to latch. The final was more of a same before it actually latched. I also struggled to get the tailgate open as it iced to the tonneau cover. I had to pound my hand in several locations before it would release.

Speaking of the tonneau cover I have the roll up what is the best way to treat the cover? I am brushing it of with a broom and what doesn't get brushed off becomes ice and sticks to the fabric.

I’m running the Falken M/T tires and have been pleasantly surprised at how well they do in snow. When the weather gets really bad, Wyoming institutes a tire restriction law. I’m glad I have M+S tires. I haven’t had any issues with snow. Do yourself a favor, get the RokBlokz front mud flaps. Keeps crud from getting under your door handles.

But the M/Ts are not rated as snow tires and don't have the M/S designation?

This isn’t a very good photo, but here is the M+S rating.

The Dueller AT tires have tested out well compared to the Copper AT and are on a par in both wet and snow driving. Trying to use a highway tire like the Dueller H/T on the Overland in Snow and Ice is putting them in a situation they are not designed for. The AT tires fair better in multi situations than the HTs and the more aggressive Off Road STT and MT tires the Rubi come with are better in Snow and off road situations. It is a matter of getting the right tire for the road conditions you have to deal with.

I have the Dueller ATs and they are performing well in gravel and wet roads I deal with here. My only issue is they tend to hold small rocks in the treads.
Cheers
Are you talking about these?: https://www.bridgestonetire.com/tire/dueler-at-rh-s/

If so, the largest they come in is 32”

The most they come with is 14/32” tread depth. The STTs have 21/32” – 50% more.

My JTR and H3 drive like a dream on the road with the STTs.

They also come in larger sizes.

But here we are also required to get the "mountain and snowflake" logo from December 1st to March 15th as on my Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires...

And don’t worry... my nighttime-dark-garage-dirty-salty-tires photos are worse!!!

Tim if that's your truck, and I assume it is - it's sure a beauty. Love the color. Very nice looking Chevy.
Thanks! It was my truck. I had it until 2013 when I bought my first Sierra. To this day there are times when I think I should have kept it. Yes, the color was amazing. I really wish FCA's orange was similar to the orange on that Colorado. If it were I would have definitely got a Gladiator in that color.

Here's the factory Dueler ATs. It does have a M+S marking but no mountain and snowflake.

“Here is a excerpt from a test report on the Dueler A/T vs Cooper and the 3PMSF rating symbol..., “When it came to driving in winter conditions, two tires distinguished themselves well ahead of the others. The Dueler A/T Revo 3 displayed a small advantage in subjective feel over the (Cooper) Discoverer AT3 4S, but both delivered good winter traction with similar results in our measured acceleration and braking tests. Interestingly, among these two only the Discoverer AT3 4S has the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) symbol on its sidewall, while the Dueler A/T Revo 3 without it matches the AT3 4S' capabilities in our testing. This reality underscores that the 3PMSF symbol is not the only guarantee of good winter traction – our testing has revealed there are a number of tires that perform well in the snow despite not having the symbol.”

It seems that the tests to get the symbol are almost a joke... like respecting some breaking distance on a light snow... I heard that many all-season tires are getting a new winter title even if it’s not winter tires at first... But in some Canadian provinces, the law is only based on this symbol...
