Let's talk Extended Warranty and options

I have been considering options and trims, looking at a Gladiator for a year or so. It would be my first Jeep, first Mopar product. I've always been a Chevy, Honda, or Mazda owner. I was in the car business for 25 years, never bought a warranty, and have never had any major problems with any vehicle. I’m defining major as anything that broke costing in excess of $1,500.
Over the past year, I have grown concerned that I should get a warranty if I get a Jeep. There are plenty of owners with great experiences for sure, but information overload has exposed me to so many problems with very new Jeeps that it’s in my head.

I have settled on a used 2024/25 Willys, because it will do more than I will ever do. Daily driver roughly 15K per year. Occasional trail riding. An occasional tow when my mower needs to go to the shop. I'd probably stick with a 33" tire similar to the factory size (Which I think technically is really 32" if I am not mistaken).
Two things I’d like to resolve:
A: What is/are the warranty company(s) I would want to consider?
B: I’d like to add a Tazer Mini to eliminate the stop/start, a throttle enhancer of some type, and at the very least level the truck, if not give it a small spacer lift like AEV. What do these options do to the warranty?

Spacer lift wont do anything to warranty,
Grainger Warranty is where you should go if warranties are your thing.
Myself I just save and replace what needs fixed. Warranties do not work around here where I live because no one takes them of any brand. but may be helpful in your area my suggestion is to go to some local garages that would possibly do work on a jeep ask what types of warranty coverages they accept and also present to them Grainger information and if they will take them then there is your answer.

In any of these threads someone inevitably comes along and enthusiastically brags about how their extended warranty saved them a garrilion dollars on an alternator replacement and they're so grateful to have had it.

If warranty companies paid out more than they took in, they wouldn't be in business...

For me, it's easier to set aside a few dollars in an ETF I can cash in if I need to for repairs.

If you're dead set on a warranty, for me, Mopar would be the only option so I could take it to any dealer.

Warranty claims can be denied when the modification can be directly tied to the part failure. So a larger tire wouldn't cause your top to leak. A larger tire would make it more likely you need a ujoint or control arm bushing.

I am thinking about getting an extended warranty myself, if I do it would definitely be the factory Mopar one. I bought my Gladiator new about 1 1/2 years ago and put about 11,000 miles on it in that time, it is my daily driver. I have owned several different brands of vehicles in my time but this is my first Jeep. It is for sure my favorite of all the vehicles I have owned, but because of some of the issues I read about as you stated has me wandering about getting an extended warranty. It seems you can have issues with all brands now a days. If this Jeep treats me well, I don’t see myself ever buying anything but another one.

We went with CNA because it was free with vehicle purchase. They are a national warranty company that is accepted at repair shops along with the dealership.

Nothing at my dealership, but some dealerships could raise a stink.

I'll be one. We received a free warranty with purchase, and it's paid for a new motor. We also paid for an extended warranty and that has covered a new radiator and third brake light.

Im just amazed they took the coverage.
All jokes aside , once you reach 125,000 no warranty will work. Your back on ypur own. Even the Mopar has a top end to their mileage.
Warranties set limits on what you can do and how far you can travel and wherever.
Saving for the possible Eventuality is the smartest move you can makes

once you reach 125,000 no warranty will work.

CNA extended warranty covers until 150k miles. The free powertrain warranty I received with the vehicle purchase is lifetime.
