I honestly think someone at metalcloak has something backwards there unless their 3.5 rear springs don’t give anywhere close to 3.5 inches.

I believe the 2.5 in kit like you got and I think there may be a couple other companies that do that kit. Pretty sure rc has it atleast. They are doing this setup for someone that has a bumper and winch. The bumper and winch normally drops the front end around 3/4 to 1in. So if you take the 1.5” rake and add another inch from the bumper and winch squatting the front end. It would take 2.5” to level it. So if you don’t have a bumper and winch now would be the time to do one.

Another option would be like I mentioned above and do a 1in spacer, possibly a 1in lift spring if you can source one or rubicon rear springs if yours isn’t a rubicon.

Last option that I can come up with right now would be to add a little rake back and source a set of 2” rear lift springs from another company. Haven’t looked but check clayton, teraflex even pretty sure you can get the rear mopar springs separate.

I have a Arcus stubby bumper and a winch. Looks like the difference in springs is 1.25 inches. Looks like I would a have a small amount of rake but I was hoping the rear would not sag so easy when I'm hauling some weight.

Is it possible that there 3.5 lift, lifts the front 3.5 inches so they reduce the height of the rear to level?

I do have a bumper and winch on it already. They did tell me they due sag because it was built for a rubicon not a sport. But idk

What lift are they? Like 2.5 or 3.5?
Clayton calls them 2.5".

Actual height is 3.5-4" on a non-Rubi model.

Per Clayton, their springs are stiffer than most other JT springs. The MC 3.5" rear springs that are 20.5" free length might give you less lift than the Clayton rears with 19.25" free length.

I thought it would be helpful for you to know the front/rear difference with the Clayton springs, but after further thinking, this doesn't help with trying to determine what kind of rake MetalCloak will give you with their front/rear height differences. Clayton could have increased the rear spring rate over stock more than they increased the front spring rate over stock.

If the metalcloak rear springs only gave you 2” instead of the 3.5 that would put back to around 1in of rake in the rear. You could grab a set of front spacers to level it back out with the rear. Or tell metalcloak that if it raises the rear to stink bug level you would like to return the springs or have them exchange the front ones for matching 3.5s. I still don’t see how the 3.5s will be level with the front unless they give nowhere near the advertised lift.

Thanks for the reply anyways

I just spoke to them again. They said the 3.5 rear springs will give it about .50-.75 in rake with the 2.5 front leveling kit. Don’t know if that makes sense.

It does and that would be fine with me. I’m ordering them.

To get a .50-.75" rake, the front has to be lifted 1" higher than the rear.

So Metalcloak is saying their 2.5" front coils give 1" more lift than their 3.5" rear coils.

Does not make sense at all.

That’s what was getting me. It sounds like their rear springs are really only 1.5” to 2” at the most. So they are basically doing a leveling setup even on the 3.5 full lift.
