Lifted, new tires, now it rubs. Searching for wheels with 4.25 offset.

An adjustable track bar is not going to fix that. Not sure, never heard of one hitting the sway bar links, it's normally the lower control arms. I thought the Rubicon, Mojave and Max tow didn't have that problem

I’m pretty sure mine would without the spacer, and my front is lifted 3”. But rubicon backspace is different than Mohave.

I ran stock height, stock wheels 35x12.5x17 on my Rubi for a while and that worked well, but I wanted more frame clearance for a little piece of mind on the trails. Now I'm "lifted" (sort of, spacers). I still don't rub, but it's closer than it was before at lock, that's for sure. I'm just at 1.5" in front with the teraflex kit, and .75" in the back with Daystar.

Did you get a new track bar or adjustable one. Measure to see if your axle is shifted over, and other thing could be did you add spacer washers when putting on the Apex Lynx, I did on my Mojave, so if your axle is slid over a bit and you have perhaps unneeded washers on Lynx, it might be the way to go…..Jack

This seems like a good place to start troubleshooting, especially since it only runs on one side.

I get that, but mine didn't hit and I'm taller than he is. I would think I would hit if he did and I haven't had any problems. It didn't hit before the adjustable track bar was installed. I had 35's on it the second day and 2.5" Readylift installed 4th day, had no rubbing and had stock track bar on it. The axles were noticably off also.

Couple more things, first is huge the stock links would be towards rear about an inch and would not extend above the sway bar attachment hole, where you are rubbing, second thing is the Apex Lynx are awesome and very well made and the design makes them at least an inch in diameter compared to the stock which might be 3/8”, and the design puts them farther front, so…..I think check your axle for center, the track bar is on passenger side which would be pulled in when lifting( I think) with your two inch lift it might be enough that it just barely rubs and an adjustable track bar might be good. Yes compared to others the Mojave has the wide track axle and more offset then Rubicon on factory rims, you would think there would be a lot of people posting the Apex don’t work. Looking at the picture the bottom of the Apex would also move with the axle. I’m confused !…..Jack

Being that I am leaving in the AM for a long trip to Indiana from S.C., I went with this temporary fix. I used three washers which worked perfectly. Next step, read all these comments and decide, '
spend a boat load of money on 5 new wheels that provide a 4.25" backspace, or get a 'hub centric' spacer. Check the axle, and sway bar for being on center... Or?

spend a boat load of money on 5 new wheels that provide a 4.25" backspace, or get a 'hub centric' spacer. Or....?

The way I looked at it with my build was that spacers are a great way to spread out the spending and delay wheels, if I ever get them. Just make sure if you go that route that you get high quality ones like spidertrax, and don’t let anyone near them with an impact wrench.

I did add one washer each side which is how I read the instructions. I put the washer on the inside to 'give more clearance' again, per the instructions. This will be my next project when I get back, looking at all the advice and idea's here for a permanent fix.

True. I didn’t know if his axle was pulled one way. I have a non max tow sport so I have to get at least 4.75 backspacing to run a 37 I think

Honestly with a 2" lift your axle shouldn't be off that bad, it will be slightly but not enough to cause what's going on. Wheel spacers are a easy cheap fix and don't listen to anyone tell you they are dangerous because those people will surely be on here shortly saying why a proper wheel with backspacing is better than a wheel spacers with little to no proof to back it up. Just make sure the spacers you buy are Hub centric and you will be good. Either one will get it done. If you like your stock wheels, run spacers, I did it on my TJ, JKU and for little bit on my JT, only did it on the JT to get a wider stance. I took them off in favor of a more tucked look but now I'm about ready to pull the trigger on new wheels so I'll be getting some that provide a wider stance. It's all about what you like and prefer though. Here's a link to some good wheels spacers, I ran them on the JKU and the JT

The lift, with the factory track bar, pulled the axle toward the driver side. You think it rubs now, just wait till you flex it. Adjustable track bars and 17 x 8.5 wheels with 0 offset will fix it right. $$$$$.
