is it just me or has the mopar lift went sky high on the price
I swear that thing once costed $1300 but now it’s like $1,650 on Amazon….$1,800 on ExtremeTerrain. I’ve never heard a bad thing about the lift though so there’s that. Throw on a front and rear adjustable track bar with it and you’re probably golden.

yeah i wish now i had pullled the trigger when it was cheaper. But now i am not sure which way to go. Hate to spend that much. My 2020 only has 8000 miles on it. I work alot so I don't drive it to ofter exept when i want to make a trip. Just ordered bumper and winch and built my own rack for a tent. I am an oilfield welder by trade, but started out building racecar chassis so it was fun to build the rack.

People are generally cautioned away from Rough Country, although the price of their kits can be very tempting. For my Max Tow, I ended up going 2" MOPAR with Metal Cloak trackbar and control arm drop brackets.

I was very close to choosing the AEV 2" spacer lift though. It sounds like that might hit your needs. It's cheaper than a full spring/shock kit but still has quality parts. It will most likely do everything you need it to do.

I can't beleive how hard this decision is. I want to get the clearance but don't want to lose the driveabilty.

I spent 2300 total for lift kit, wheel swap, install and programming bigger tire size at my dealer, used 15% off coupon for the lift...check your local dealer I bet they beat most online prices

I too wanted to retain the max tow payload. So I added the 1 3/8" rear spacer and 2.5" front springs. Allows me to run 35" tires nicely and perfectly level.

I did 2.5" Rough County level (front) and 3/4" daystar pucks (rear) as soon as I took delivery. 1st 40k miles was a so so ride. Then I got better tires and everything smoothed right out. Now, 50k miles and rides like new. Tires matter for ride quality. As for lift durability, so far so good. My JT is a budget built tho ?‍♂

lifting will negatively effect your ability to tow. Just an FYI before someone else says so.

Also you will loose tow rating equal to the % of increase in tire diameter. Ex: %10 increase in tire diameter will decrease you max tow by %10.

Heavier tires, and extra crud like bumpers and gear racks will take up your cargo carrying capacity quickly...which will also decrease the available payload capacity for a heavier tongue weight.

All that being said.

I went with the 2in IRO spacer lift so I retained my factory springs and their wonderful spring rate. I also stuck to a more factory tire size so i retained the power and feel of the OEM ride...as well as the MPG. Everyone seems to want to nix the rake, but forgets that the rake is so when you add weight to the rear and it sags it doesnt do the pooping dog squats. And for stability and such...but the looks are what jeep people care about! haha So a little rake left over is a good thing IMO. Im happy to have the factory intended rake in my JTmt every time I tow.

Food for thought, nothing more. Dont go full bro dozer unless youre prepared to have to deal with the negatives. and dont fell pressure to lift or do anything just cause the forum or facebook make it look cool. Make sure you take the time to find what build fits YOUR needs the best.

I should’ve gotten that 1-3/8” rear spacer with my 2.5” RC level kit instead of the Daystar 3/4” rear spacers. Nice choice!
