All:
I've been reading and learning and am interested in LED lights. I'm trying my best not to have to tell the computer about them or having the dealer intervene.

For those who have purchased the Oculus LED Halo replacement headlights, are you ok with them now? I know there were some fogging issues and such but I'm not sure if anyone posted anything either way whether they were happy or not or keeping them or not.

As far as fog lights, are you going LED bulb replacement or full light replacement? There's so many out there and they range from relatively inexpensive to holy crap....

For DRL's, it seems to be more confusing. From what I've read, the Sport models do not come with DRL's and in addition, if you do not get the factory LED package, you don't have DRL's or they're not activated ? Or maybe the fender lights are DRL's but not headlights? Yeah I'm confused....

I purchased an Overland without LED package obviously, and if I want LED DRL's, is it possible? Is it that same light as the turn signal?

I would also like to do this without cutting any wires- that would be a deal breaker for me.

Thanks

Joe

I just got finished updating mine with LED's up front. I did Oracle Oculus for the headlights, and OEM fogs that I purchased from a member here, as well as the fender DRL/Turn Signals. I already had a Tazer Mini so I was able to enable all of the LED's through the computer. Everything was plug and play with the exception of running the halo wire into the fuse box. That was just one splice.

I went with the bulbs that went into the existing fixtures, and in my case no flashing the computer was necessary. I used full canbus LED bulbs and they even work correctly in the cab, no 'hyper-flash'.

Did yours originally have DRL's, or is that just to make the halo a DRL? I'm wondering if the vehicle already has DRL's and you don't want the halo being a DRL if you need to run the wire to the fuse.

Another question I have is in their instructions it says that if you do not plan on hooking up the turn signal you need another cable. That confused me.

Right now for headlights I'm liking these:
https://www.oraclelights.com/collections/led-replacement-headlights/products/oculus-bi-led

However, there's only a 2 year warranty. I would feel better with 3 or so. I've said this before - It seems to me that the quality of an item is usually gauged by how much the company is willing to stand behind it. AFAIK, LED's should last one heck of a LONG time - so 2 years makes me suspicious.

Thanks for all of your help.

Nope, biggest regret from my old JLUR was not having the LED's. Once you have them, you can never go back.

There is an extra cable to tap into the fuse block(#52) that is used for the halo's. I don't know about using them for turn signals. I thought that was only an option if you had the multi-colored ones where the halo would blink amber.

I have the Oculus Bi LED lights and I did have a Fogging issue at first but it cleared up after a week or 2. I got some LED foglights off Amazon. I have a Sport S so mine did not have the DRL and Turn signal it just has the Turn signal so I got some CANBUS Led Switchback LEDS. I didn't have to program a single light with my FlashCal. I had the wrong turn signal bulbs at first but after I got the right ones I have had 0 Issues.

Only thing I will say about the Oracle lights is they DO NOT LIKE SNOW!!! I drove 1 mile and had to pull over to clear snow off of them. Other than that I love em.

I believe these are the supernova switchbacks for our vehicles with the halogen fogs:

With the fender DRL/ turn signals do you need the switchback ones that will amber and white? Which fender lights did you get?

I used Lasfit bulbs for everything. I'm not sure in regard to the headlamps but I'm pretty sure these are the ones, but you need to check for yourself:

https://www.amazon.com/LASFIT-Headl...193-1-2--669-&vehicleName=2020+Jeep+Gladiator

These are the DRL/turn signal lights I ordered. They are switchback bulbs, the DRL is brilliant white and the turn signal is amber. If you're looking for straight amber bulbs, that is a different part number, and these are not on Amazon that I have found:

https://www.lasfit.com/products/744...ghts-canbus-error-free?variant=13884799320148

And, these are the fog lights I ordered from Amazon:

I opted for LasFit LED bulbs on all around. Used a TAZER JL Mini to activate LED features on my Sport, mainly to keep my Gladiator from thinking a bulb was out.

In place of DRLs, I got a set of the Oculus surface mount LED Halos. You can wire them to power on through the Cig Lighter fuse. I have them installed on my headlights and fog lights.

The Oracle headlights work out very nice and are plug and play, no splicing with mine. For the halos you do tap into a fuse at the fuse box or you may be able to tap into existing fog light harness. I taped into fuse. When ordering the fog lights you need to order the proper lights for your specific Gladiator model. The black Oracle front side corner lights are plug and play. Also, changed out the turn signal/running lights for LED bulbs. I have been very happy with all Oracle products to date. I am anxious for my next Oracle product (backup lights). Have fun with your Gladiator and enjoy the Mods.

I had no idea they had halo fog lights. Did you tap the cigar lighter fuse for both halo's? Can the fuse handle 4 halo lights?

They look really cool! I bought the headlights you have (they're on their way). Now you have me thinking about the fog lights like that.
