In March I went to the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. First I left my home in NJ and went to VA to pick up a friend, the we took 3 days to actually get out there - taking our time/camping/playing disk golf, etc. On the way home though I just got in the groove and we went back to VA, 2,100ish miles straight, only stopped for gas and food. I love driving roadtrips at night so we left in the evening from Moab, daylight the next day was nothing, listening to music/talking about the trip, as it got dark again we were already in the final stretch.

Moab UT to Williamsburg VA was my furthest straight trip, I've also driven from New Jersey to Wisconsin straight, and I've driven New Jersey to Missouri straight on multiple occasions. Next month I'll be doing NJ to FL straight for the first time.

edit-
Not the best pic as it was raining, but loaded down here for our Moab trip with my spare, 4 mid sized toolboxes, and 2 of those big waterproof Quadratec bags full of camping gear for 2 people for 2 weeks.

When traveling in hot environments does the AC keep up well like it would in a usually insulated vehicle?

I did 13 hours from Jacksonville, FL to Biloxi, MS and back in a single day in my Rubicon. Around 1000 miles, It was a smooth ride. My back was stiff but I survived.

I recently made a run from north Dallas to Galveston Island and back. On return leg, they had the highway shut down and we re-routed on the access road which took almost 3 hours extra. So, it was an 8 hour return trip instead of 5. Very comfortable drive, I really love driving my Gladiator.

We do a 2 hour drive with our dogs and keep the AC cranking for them , once on the hwy I have to turn the AC back down as it gets cold and this is with a soft top and 90 degree SC weather.

last week I did 2050 miles in 4 days, 3 nights to do 3 BOH trails in S. Cali. 37" tires.
Super comfi, but 65 mph the whole way, any faster and I just would have stopped more for gas, negating the additional speed.

Moved from Florida to Missouri back in January and drove in the gladiator. My wife and I had our dog and two cats in the back seat, with bags in the bed. The trip took two days with an overnight stay in Tennessee. It definitely wasn't the most comfortable vehicle to use for the move but it did the job well.

A trip from DFW to Austin and back, and despite an insane amount of rain we didn't have a single issue. Super comfy.

1600 miles and my wife and I love driving it. We've barely driven the Navigator since getting it.

I was able to maintain the temp all day to my liking, I didn't notice it struggling at all. You reminded me though, when I drive all day highway/trail riding I do notice a 30 second span of the AC not working full strength every couple hours or so. It only lasts that short period and then back to normal, almost like it's resetting or something. I always notice because it feels like it draws from outside for a second, you can feel/smell the humidity change as if circulation turned off.

I'll be driving from Queen Creek AZ to Twin Falls ID in one shot in 19 days

Ultimate destination after that will be McCall ID for a week of wheeling and camping in the woods

I drove to Vegas and back in one day two weeks ago. Ran perfectly, just like a brand new vehicle should

Also, I was really impressed with this on that drive for a truck that has 3.73s, 35s, and a steel bumper

A mid sized convertible pickup does a lot very well, even the Mojave ... ? ... with just one locker.

I got rid of my expedition EL limited because the gladiator is fun to drive. Plus my daughters are off to college now.

If you had the Max Tow it would handle your towing needs as well.
