Hoping to grab some info on what the lowest lift necessary would be to run BFG KO2 35s (315/70/17) with jeep performance 8.5 wide wheels +12 offset? Can I get by with a 1 inch spacer in the front or would 1.5 be necessary? Based on my research I think either should work but I dont want to run into any gotcha's. or at least have some I have to inform the wife of ;-) I wont be doing any serious flexing/offroading, more of a mall crawler.

I’m running the 1.5” front spacers. I’m getting the same exact size tire, but with a 8.5 wheel with a -10 offset on thursday. I’ll keep you posted, but I anticipate no rub or issues with mine. If i were you i’d do the 1.5” spacer up front.

Thanks, looking forward to hearing how it works out. Also, any pics would be great! I'll most likely do the 1.5 and the 3/4 daystar in the back.

From what I have read, you can run 35"s at stock height. It is a matter of the offset/backspacing and width of the tire that is the issue. I am not sure about the wheels specs you have posted above.

Thanks, that is what I was concerned about. The +12 mm offset with the larger wheel and tire seem to put the wheel almost at OEM distance in the wheel well from the suspesnion and frame according to https://tiresize.com/ I just dont know if there is something else I am not accounting for...

I but those same BFGs on my stock Sport wheels after installing the Rancho 1 1/2” leveling kit. Tires rubbed near full lock. I added Spidertrax spacers on the front and all is well.

Thank you! This is where I was hoping the change in offset from +44mm to +12mm would help. What size spacer did you use?

This was mine with that size stock. I think the teraflex spacer lift using either the 1in puck or the whole 1.5” would work out nice.

I decided to go with a +10 offset, wheels will be in on Saturday, hoping to have new tires/wheels on Monday. I did the rubicon take off suspension, with 1.5" spacer up front and the 3/4" rear spacer in the back. The stance even with the stock tires looks amazing, so I can't wait for the 315's.

This is begging for the 1.5" up front, i'd highly recommend it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Isn't the Willys just a Sport with a hood decal? Aren't the axels the same?
