Ordered a JT Willys Sport manual this past Saturday, 5/7.

Sarge Green/Black cloth
Tow Package
Aux Switch Package
Spray-in bedliner

I'm a manual elitist jerk, so I wouldn't have wanted this any other way. The manual is what completes the package for me.

Yes, so far just the Wrangler. Hopefully, it's more tied to the engine and not the trans, since the MT is only available with the 3.6. The Wrangler has a few more engine options than we do, and it looks like they are limiting the "base" 3.6 motor we have. Looks like it's only on Sport and Willys Sport on the Wrangler right now, with other trims making you get a 3.6 etorque, diesel, or 2.0 turbo.
But since you got a Willys Sport, you'd still be good (for now) even on the Wrangler.

It's not being dropped. It is suffering from supply issues. The JK had times where the manual was unavailable or had limited availability. My 2008 was ordered as an 07 in February of 07 and wasn't built until September of 07 as an 08 model simply because of short supply of manual transmissions. Of course, today's supply chain issues could be having an even bigger impact.

If they were discontinuing it, there would have been more publicity around it.

Hey MT fans.........
I assume this video is true and if it is, it is the damnedest abuse of the legal system that I have seen yet. Owner of MT Gladiator sued because a tech was accidentally killed while vehicle being serviced. Check it out:

I had a laugh today with mine. Took it to get a bed liner installed. Handed the keys to the young kid, walked inside and watched out the window with my popcorn in hand. Watched him get in, sit there for a few minutes, the headlights flashed a couple times, and then he got out and walked back into the shop. Another, slightly older fella comes out, gets in, and then drives it into the shop.

I had to smile a little bit. Old tech > young'ens.

I hope you're right. We're just on the verge of adding/replacing. Just need a few...more..months. We want a JLU to replace the JKU. But the one guy on the JL side says there will be interesting news on Friday. So we'll see. But I know when it does finally happen (hopefully not until next generation), it'll be newsworthy for car mags. It'll be the first time... Ever.

Another reason why my dad is the only person I trust to drive my truck. Even if they figure it out I don't want a french toast clutch.

Yeah it is true. Jeep pages are circulating the story. Apparently they can't sue the tech or dealership because of a state law. This will be dismissed. The owner cannot be anymore liable for owning a MT than FCA was designing the JL/T with it and selling them.

Just geared too tall. Needs 4.10 for stock tires at the tallest.
If it's like my JL, you will find it performs better once you get some miles on it. Feels like a different (better) machine at 10,000 miles than 0 miles.

I'd bet that interesting news will have more to do with the new Hurricane 6, maybe for 2023 and won't have anything to do with the manual. Just a hunch.

I just don't see them dropping the manual when Bronco has one.

Is it safe to drive at 4000 rpm’s for prolonged period of time (1 hour)?
