Ford's still selling the Fusion and Fiesta and Lincoln has 2 or 3 as well. edit - But to your point I just saw they're coming out with a Mustang SUV -- wtf!???Didn't Ford drop all cars (except Mustang) from their lineup in favor of trucks and SUVs for that very reason?
That presupposes that the people buying a manual option would not buy the vehicle unless the manual is offered, which I think is a bad assumption.
I'm pretty sure that 100% of all buyers who buy a manual have the option to buy that vehicle in an automatic (or CVT,) whereas 90% of all buyers who buy automatics have no other option. Therefore, no, not a bad assumption at all.
