I hope everyone is doing well. I have a question about my Max Tow gearing for my Sport S and really hoping someone with the knowledge can help me understand it.
Long story short, my JT got hit and the front axle broke. They now have to completely replace that front axle. I have the Max Tow Package on my Sport S so I have the 4.10 gear ratio. The thing I’m not understanding is that on my estimate, the shop said they had confirmed with the dealer that the replacement axle came “without 4.10:1 4LO.” What does this mean? If I had a 4.10 axle originally, shouldn’t the replacement have the 4.10:1 4LO on it as well? Or am I just completely misreading what this description is actually telling me? Does that statement have to do with axle or does it have to do with the transfer case? I’m just trying to wrap my head around it and I obviously don’t know enough to figure it out. I just want to ensure the correct replacement is getting installed. Thanks!
