I was seeing what people were paying for to replace their antennas and thought it was strange to get rid of what works.
I’ve always modified my OEM Antennas on my Jeeps and thought I should share it.

So heat the tip to remove the ball, chop the antenna, cut threads into new end?

I use my oem antenna to clear out the leaves that collect between the cab and bed. Hahaha...

Why not just remove it?

I didn’t know that modifying the stock antenna was a thing.

In my area, the thing to do is go with the .50 BMG look antenna.

No need to heat it or cut threads.

If you remove the antenna, no antenna, then no radio signal.
