I also have the Rydonair. Only issue I have is the AM reception in certain spots in the Buffalo area. Absolutely no issue with the satellite reception though.

13” Rydonair. Bought on Amazon for approx. $25. Read lots of reviews online. From my brief experience, no loss of reception, at least not driving around in the big city. Haven’t tested its range yet.

I kept the stock one on for a few months because I really didnt mind it that much. But I grabbed one of these and I love it. I don't use AM/FM radio, so I cant speak on if it changes radio clarity or not. I use XM and it sounds just as clear as the OEM one.

That's because XM uses a different antenna located on top of the cross bar/sound bar. The antenna you're showing is only for terrestrial radio

I kinda like the OEM antenna. Looks old school.

Tried a stubby but lost reception—may just be where I live. Cleaned and plasti dipped the OEM black. Holding up great—I’m gonna stick with this.

Rydonair. Definitely less reception than stock where I live.

Here's the replacement antenna I put on my motorcycle (.50 cal). I love it and it works great. Can't say I've noticed any degradation in reception.

Dude, no offence but if you listen to Satellite radio you aren't using this antenna. So how do you know it 'works pretty well'? I live in a rural area so reception is important to me.
Offence taken, since you essentially called me stupid. You should be ashamed.

I know it works pretty well because I tried the FM stations after installing it. I haven't fully tested it, since I don't regularly use it.

A lot of people don't know that the whip antenna is not for the satellite radio.....
