After 14 months, my Mojave is finally desert rated.....

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...come-with-it-no-tow-package-or-max-tow.66588/

lol

Can't believe the fan isn't standard on the 1st Desert Rated truck.
I thought it was as I read better cooling was part of the package, which made me think there must be 3 fan possibilities. Standard, Mojave, Tow. However, this Motortrend article says it comes standard with the "Max Tow" cooling package, so corrected me into there only being 2 fans: Mojave vs Rubicon. I guess that changed or was wrong.

It was always wrong. What likely happened is they reviewed a truck with the tow package and it had the 850w fan.

No trim comes with 850w standard. Max Tow package and Tow Package come with the fan.

Some crazy dudes will yell at me for not referring to Max Tow as a trim of course....

Man, not sure how I missed posting in this thread, but anyway...

Here it is in its unmolested form when I brought it home...

This was October 2021, it was like 40 degrees and I forced the wife to "experience" the jeep experience lol. She wasn't as into it as I would have thought...

Finally took the Mojave in to have this looked at. Hours later they can't find the issue.

Luckily another Mojave came in and they did the sequence I showed them which worked as it should. Proved there IS something wrong with mine.

No luck so far and have to bring it back in.
About a year later (and well before that knowing it was an issue) I finally got my Jeep fixed.

I couldn't turn off ESC by holding down the traction control button. Due to that, I couldn't turn on my lockers in 4Hi.

There's no way I am the only one to ever have this issue, but never seen anyone else mention it. I assume not many people are actually turning off ESC, though.

If you haven't tried it, turn on your lockers in 4Hi just to be sure.

Finally had a chance to have the 3.5" Metalcloak Gamechanger Lift installed with Synergy Tie Rods / Drag Links / Steering Box, and other HD parts, and a Fox ATS Stabilizer.

Long story short, I recently had purchased the RC lift made for the Mojave where I had an unfortunate experience with DW. Transitioned to a MC lift with Synergy HD parts, and it has been truly amazing.

I want to personally thank @DirtGadgets for his insight and sharing his experience with an MC lift on his Mojave.

Can you please make your short story a little longer? ? I have the RC Mojave Lift on my Mojave and just curious what issues were.

For context, I was actually planning on putting the MC lift on as I love everything about that company but they guy at the shop kind of sold me on the RC.

We were just talking and he knew I was going to buy online and install it myself, so I don’t think he had other motives and I couldn’t argue with the savings.

Hey Detachment!

Thanks for the quote! Here's what happened; So when I purchased the RC lift through 4WP, they installed it. On my way home, I ended up having DW pretty bad. The next morning I took it back to 4WP, then they mentioned it was "probably" an issue with the trackbar and bushings. They replaced it with a Rubicon Express trackbar/drag links. As soon as I left 4WP, I had DW probably about after 5 mins of driving at 35mph. I ended up taking it to a local moco offroad shop, and the owner provided me a list of his recommendations and how we can fix this. Ended up $6K later with the MC, synergy, and falcon parts and we ended up just throwing the RC parts away.

Originally, I wanted the RC lift because it was cost friendly and a brand I never dealt with before. But then I realized, for the invest we have with our jeeps, if you're going to do something, might as well do it the right way or else it might keep costing you in the end.

To be completely honest, RC is a great brand as well, but after the swap to the MC and synergy stuff, the ride was 10x better.

Thanks for the response! I’m usually a buy once cry once kinda guy because I hate buying things twice. Not to mention my time/mental energy is often worth way more than whatever I’d save in the end.

That being said, I was “trying” to be a better steward of my money on this Jeep (coming from the guy with the 2k light bar) so I thoughtfor the somewhat substantial cost difference, I’d try out the RC lift.

I’ve had no real issues with the RC lift I guess. I do however feel like if I rode in yours, I’d be on the phone with MC within 13s ordering your set up as I’m sure the ride is night/day.

Of course, as I type this, I may just now do anyways. I guess I’m not technically buying the “same thing” right? ?

UPDATE: 2023APR20

Decided to install the Synergy Sector Shaft Brace & Bracket and Tom Woods Custom Front Drive Shaft (Propeller Shaft - as noted in the labor description).

In my opinion, I understand there are various diverse perspectives on changing out the drive shaft; however, I decided to proceed with this just because eventually, down the road, I know it would have to be replaced, and I felt a little bit uncomfortable with seeing how my front DS was angled, that's just my two cents. In the old DS image below, you will see the white stencil area that I marked where that seemed to be a little bit bent, and instead of a circle shape, the white stencil area looked more of an oval.

After adding the Sector Shaft Brace & Bracket, I must admit that the driving, control, and smoothness are exceptional. You can tell the difference in the ride quality.

Any recommendations for sway bar quick disconnects? Anything different for a Mojave?

I will second the Apex auto links. As easy as you are going to get without a push button swaybar disconnect. I love mine. Two seconds to twist a knob to lock or unlock them.
