My $.03. I have a 2022 with about 78k on the AEV 2” spacer lift with Geo brackets (83k total). I am running the K02’s in 315/70/17. I had the rebuild of the factory shocks a few miles ago now. I daily drive mine and can’t say enough good thing about the way it drives and handles.
I had this same debate before I settled on the AEV and decided to get the spacer kit based on several considerations. Cost was one factor. For the money I felt that this fit *my* use case. My truck sees far more highway miles than dirt. I travel a fair amount and have complete confidence in it getting me there and back without any drama. It also rides better than a lot of much more expensive vehicles (Looking at you last gen G-Wagon). It has also stayed planted and handles the curves better than I should ever expect. I can get in and out of it reasonably and so can my 80+ year old mom. I also liked the look of the mild lift for me. The 2” is subtle and doesn’t scream look at my big jacked up truck. This lift has also held up over the past 4ish years. It also doesn’t put a lot of strain and stress on other components in the food chain of the suspension system.
At the end of the day the AEV is a solid system for me and in my experience. You do you though and get what makes you happy.
