test drove a new Mojave the other day and also a Gladiator with the dark sky package. What a difference in comfort!!! Why can't that be a option to chose??

Cloth Mojave seats are really comfortable. Not sure about the leather ones.

I have the grayish green leather seats, didn't want leather but the deal I got on this jeep I couldn't pass up, with that said I don't like them, I think the Cloth regular seats in the wife's 23 JL are much more comfortable

Leather is great, you just need to work in the butt groove. Just like breaking in your baseball glove.

I've owned a Rubicon and now a Mojave. Both came with the leather seats. The Mojave is better, comfort and support. I don't know if cloth would feel any better in those two categories.

If you have dogs, you will appreciate leather over cloth.

Have a Mojave with cloth and a Rubicon with leather. The Rubicon is hands down more comfortable to me - maybe Alpine is right because my leather is broken in, or maybe its personal preference. I'd love to swap someone seats in the Mojave if they like the cloth so much.

The cloth and leather Mojave seats I've had are so very much better than the seats in my new 2025 Willy's XR. I can feel lumps and wires in the non Mojave, it is complete trash. I need to rebuild the seats or trade the new one away, pretty bummed.

Thinking of doing Katzkin XT (thicker leather) and have the shop add a small layer of extra foam to solve this or going with a full custom rebuild of the driver seat with new covers on the front. Brutal.

What's funniest is that they all get the same seats on the line, then re-wrapped at an upfitter off site when the package dictates it.
So what your saying is just have katskins put on and have a new foam built and get what one wants.

I owned a cloth willys for 6 months prior to trading it for a cloth Mojave that I put Katzkin in a few months after purchase. I also dropped by a dealership not long after i got my katzkin installed to sit in an OEM leather Mojave to test the differenve (before they installed my katzkin i noticed the leather was quite nicely padded and was curious how they compared). i've sat in a few OEM leather gladiators as well, including an overland and a rubicon, but frankly i don't remember them enough to speak about them.

Cloth standard seats vs cloth mojave the difference is noticeable and a very nice upgrade in support. Cloth to OEM leather is an additional upgrade in comfort. Katzkin is even better than OEM leather though. Didn't hurt that my 2-tone custom stitched and embroidered (had them put the Mojave logo back on my seats) cost me $2150 installed at a time when OEM leather was a 2k upgrade.

That being said... post purchase rationalization is a hell of a drug so while i believe everything i'm saying, who the fucks knows if I'm right or not. If anyone near central jersey with OEM leather (mojave or otherwise) wants to come pepsi challenge that shit i'm down to assist.

OEM leathers are supplied by Katzkin lol.
Not exactly. "Premium McKinley trimmed seats" are OEM and are not supplied by katzkin. The "Black Stitched Leather Upgrade by Mopar" are sold as an accessory add-on and are Katzkin.

if you're picking from dealer stock, there's good odds those are not the leather upgrade by mopar

Katzkin seats (including the leather upgrade by mopar) very distinctly have katzkin tags on them.

The previous owner of my '21 Mojave replaced the factory cloth with Katzkin leather. She even got the Mojave Orange for the stitching. The one thing I wish Jeep would add is vented seats to the heated seats. Black Leather + Black Jeep + Atlanta heat = ass and leg burns!

This is where the OEM leather is installed, after the factory fabric is cut off. This is the process.

Katzkin provides these covers to the upfitter who installs them, then takes them back to the yard to be shipped to the dealers.

Katzkin installer quality varies greatly. My last Rubicon came with cloth, so I ordered some nice dark grey Katzkin leather, the shop did a horrible job, so bad that katzkin agreed to a full refund and I traded the Jeep away. Be very cautious with installer selection. As for the new foam that is what I am looking at with the trash Willy's seats at this point. Again it is a risk...
