Can anyone tell me what I should expect to pay for labor to have the Mopar 2" lift installed on my 2021 JTR?

I paid $1700 installed at my dealer. That included alignment.. I guess Labor was about $3-$400 dollars.
My dealer tried to tell me that labor was around $2K. I guess they are trying to recoup from what they lost on my trade...

The best I was quoted after calling 5 dealers was 4.5 hrs @ $150/hr so $675. The dealer I purchased from wanted $2800 for parts and labor, insane.

I had a different lift, with a couple more parts, installed for $600 labor.

5 or 6 hours labor, no alignment needed.

It’s free, find a friend with some skills or someone on the forum near you and do in in your driveway or garage. You will learn a lot about your Jeep and realize how easy it is to install a lift.
This 100%!!!
Just purchase the lift and plan to do the install over a weekend. It is extremely easy to do. Even if you have never done it before. If you run into an issue or have questions the forum is here to help. That is what is great about the Jeep community. Also I am sure there is a forum member the lives near you that would be willing to lend a helping hand. But even if not, this lift can be done by yourself and you will get the most gratification when its complete. The extra money you saved can be spent else where. That dealer is nuts to be quoting you $2k for labor... I wouldn't let them touch your jeep as that figure is way off and they are trying to screw you.

The Mopar lift is very simple and basic so its not a complicated install. Its springs, shocks, front control arms, end links and bump stops. A good competent dealer can have this done 3-4 hrs.

My dealer quoted me $3400.00 parts and labor. I asked if they would I least buy me dinner first!

find another dealer. For that price you could have a more complete lift if you were willing to do the install.

My dealer service man (Secret City, Oak Ridge TN) said 9 hours labor. I walked away from that. I could do it in less time and that includes looking for that 10mm socket that rolls away........

For those saying to install it yourself, I get that it’s not too hard, but you don’t know if someone has the time, tools, resources, location and experience to do it. On top of that, the peace of mind of having a dealer install it on a brand new vehicle under warranty is why I am having them do it.

I did a lift kit install on my JKU and it was plenty easy to do in my driveway with basic tools, everything was great. A few months later I experienced death wobble. After trying to diagnose it myself and re-torquing everything to spec, I brought it in to two mechanics and a dedicated 4WD shop. I spent another few hundred dollars on parts to “fix” it. Death wobble came back several times and I eventually sold it because it sucked to drive.

I know the JL/JTs are much improved and my experience is rare, but I just don’t want to be bothered this time around. I’m not saying to get ripped off by the dealer, but I’m happy with a quote under 5 hours. YMMV

Typically the issue that causes death wobble is improper torque on the track bar. But keep in mind many installers and dealers do crap work so the same issue can happen. But understood and self install is not for everyone. But is a great way to know you’re Jeep better and be able to troubleshoot when issues arise.
