It's not that hard of an install, to be honest the trailer light wiring was more involved.
Trailer light wiring?
Should be there on all JTs unless they changed that very recently.

Your right, I had to add the trailer light wiring to my wife's Wrangler not a Gladiator.

Edited my other post to show Wrangler/Gladiator.

I have a 2020 I got in July 2019. Installed a Redarc in the same month. Should I be concerned about the ABS?
The only time it is a problem is when you manually apply trailer brakes only by pushing the button without touching the brake pedal.
That's how I set the braking.......drive with trailer and without touching the brake pedal I press the controller to apply trailer brakes. That's when things lit up.

I've actually done this in mine with the Tekonsha Primus IQ in mine and didn't get any lights ? ? ?

Mind you, my Overland with the trailer package was built in June of 2019 so...

Some seem to already have a diode there that prevents any signal from the brake controller from getting to the JT's ABS brake light circuit.
One reason some used the RAM harness with the Redarc controller was because the RAM harness had that - it's just got two wires in different spots.

Doesn't the light show only happen if no trailer is connected?
Also the newer recommended Jeep harness adaptor I believe has the diode also. Not sure cause I ended up making my own for the Wrangler and using the Ram one for the Gladiator, it was all about timing.

Didn't seem to matter. What was happening is that without you pressing the brake pedal, the ABS expected no signal, no voltage, on the truck's brake light circuit. It didn't put one there because you didn't press the brake pedal, yet there was voltage, so the ABS freaked out when the trailer brake controller button was pressed - and fed voltage into the brake light circuit.
(supposedly by CA law, when you apply trailer brakes manually, without tow vehicle brakes, the brake lights are supposed to come on. For some reason Jeep - even many brake controller companies, don't have things set up to work that way on modern vehicles, and frankly, only if you hit the trailer brakes and used them to slow real quickly and someone hit you from behind would they ever know you used the trailer brakes and there were no brake lights)

Anywho - the diode prevents the controller from feeding into the brake lights, but lets the controller know when you are pressing the tow vehicles brakes.

Ya, I understand why and whatnot, I even remember reading about it on the Wrangler forum. Was just thinking it was a no trailer thing, but that might of been early speculation. It was over a year ago.

I installed this on a 2018 JL and the only issue I have is if I don't have a trailer hooked up and hit the brake button my ABS and traction control light up on my dash.

Goes away after a restart though. Works great and should easily plug and play.

I believe you need a one way diode in one of the wires in the harness between the module and the truck wires.
Don't remember which wire, but poke around on this site or the Wrangler site and you should be able to find the fix.

Either that, or the ABS flash.
JT's don't need a diode.
It would be the wire that goes to the brake light circuit.
That's the red one for Redarc, I believe it's the white one for the MOPAR controller. BUT - double-check that!

I've got a JTR coming so it's the next guys problem.
That being said, even without that it worked great for over a year that I used it.

You could be right, I started with the Wrangler, then recently switched to the Gladiator. But thought I had read about Gladiators having the Christmas tree light issue also.
My pigtail had the diode in it, but whatever.
