I installed this by myself. It is pretty simple and it works flawlessly on my 2021 Rubicon EcoDiesel.
Just FYI.
thank you gentlemen
i'll give it a wack myself first if there's issues i'll let them deal with it
is there enough slack in the 12v socket line to surface mount it in the flat panel by pax left leg? in either of these two circled areas?

No, I bought a harness to make an extender for mine. Otherwise it was just shy of being able to install in that area.

To verify what I am looking at for the harness modification; you extended the wires on the one section to have enough length to mount the 12v outlet in the glovebox, correct?
Yes, you may see where I extended the brown and blue wires and used heat shrink on them. The blue wire has blue heat shrink so you may not see it easily if viewing by phone.
I have crazy amounts of various wire here so I just dug in a drawer for matching wires.

I've followed this thread on and off over time, but not in full. I have an early 2020. If I put in a Redarc or some other aftermarket controller, will I need to worry about getting a TSB flash, or is the TSB flash issue confined to the Mopar brake controller? Thanks

Almost any brake controller that connects to the harness inside.
I'd not call it "worry about" getting the flash. It's no big deal.

You can avoid the issue (Gladiators built on or before January 8th, 2020) by using a diode in the line to the brake light circuit - but why when Jeep takes care of it with the flash?

The issue was found when people installed Redarc and other after-market controllers in their Gladiators so it happens with pretty much anything you install. The problem was found well before the MOPAR controller even released.

So been following your thread here.
First question because I may have missed the answer along the way, do you still have the Mopar BC?
Second, you initially thought it was a cheap POS, still feel that way? (If in fact you still have it).
Lastly, for a person looking NOW, what would recommend for a BC?
Redarc, Mopar, Curtis?
Some time has passed so just wondering.
Btw, JT build date is Dec 20.
Thanks Rick

I'd personally recommend the Tekonsha Primus IQ for price (~$130 installed at trailer dealership) and value. Works great, not expensive and plug and play with my June/July 2019 build Overland, no muss no fuss.
