Mopar Performance Extended Rock Rails/ Mojave Sand Sliders

Hello All,
21 Willys did a Leveling kit on the front like I did on the wife’s Gladiator. Only with hers I had put RC drop steps. Since I was born built like a gorilla ( short legs , tall Torso ) 5’11 and nasty Mva as a teen broken hips and fractured pelvis, one replacement already, getting my legs up high enough was challenging.
I picked up the extended rock rails figured it would be a good compromise not wanting drop steps. Come spring I plan on a 2 a 2.5 lift and realize these probably won’t cut it.
But for now I like the form and function of these.
Side note: a transmission jack makes installing by yourself a breeze.

Had them on my wrangler and now on my Gladiator, love them. They are super easy to put on, heck all you have to do is get the bolts lined up and it stays in place for you.

If you put some skateboard style tape on them they can kinda work. They also put up with as much off road impact as id ever trust any body mounted slider to deal with and not hurt the body in the process

Yeah I like the overall look of them, and they function as a step ( not much but enough). And parking lot protection from door dings. Once I do a true lift will determine if they stay or go. I do have a mountain off-road hide a step I put on just to see how far it would come out.. regardless of what I already knew, I had to do it. Plus it gave me a measure of how long I need to have my son make a new step plate.

I installed these on my Wife's JLU, finding a set on FB pretty cheap. They are good quality and are nicer than the stock rock protectors. I would caution you though. Even though the paint/material has a textured finish, your feet can still slip on it. It happened to me and the way they mount close to the door sill my ankle slammed in the sill as my foot slipped. It was not pleasant.
