First, I apologize if this has been asked 10million times already. BUT, I have a question bout the Mopar Trail Rail system for the Gladiator. The kit comes with 12 screws and 2 hex(?) Inserts for the rear corners. However, those corner inserts did not include screws. I ordered my Rail system from Quadratec and got 12 screws. Am I missing something? Whtbis the purpose of the rear corner inserts? I'd like to go to the local hardware store to buy the screws to use them and also need the size and length.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should've gotten 14 screws. The 2 corner ones should be the same as the 12 you got. Threads should be M6 1.0 X 30. You can verify the thread pitch by testing one of your 12 screws into the thread insert. At least on mine, all 14 were the same.

I bought the OEM set and it was short on screws as well. Was a common issue a year ago when I got the set. I knew about it in advance so ordered additional screws!! The 'swing gate stabilizer' are the bolts.

That is really interesting. Were the 2 bolts (6512767aa) you got actually hex head and not the Torx head ones?

I bought mine in 2020 from BAM (same kit part number, 82215956), and it came with 14 of the Torx head bolts. I wonder why they changed the bolts (maybe supply chain issues?).

Kit came with 12 torx....bam sent the extra hex. So weird....

Like I said it was well known in late 2021 and that's why I ordered extra.

Yeah, that is weird. I looked up the part (6512767aa), and several web sites state that the hex head bolts are replacement bolts for the trail rail system.

I wonder if 2022s don't use the rear bolts? Would need to check one with the factory option....

I appreciate everyone's assistance. I guess I'll buy a couple from the hardware store after I get the lineX installed.

I just bought a set off Amazon for $315, bunch of the reviews talked about missing bolts, I didn't have the 2 hex head bolts but had enough of the star bolts and since I already had the front bar I'm covered.

Get some golf tees and plug every hole in the bed before you take it to LineX. It'll save you the trouble of having to clean all the gunk out of the holes after. (They're lazy and they don't bother to do it for you.)

Mine didn’t come with those either, however, they serve no purpose. You’re bolting the flimsy plastic bracket to the back of the bed, it may look like it’s there to prevent twisting or similar things but any twisting motion on that plastic will cause it to break. I simply popped a couple black plastic pushpins in the holes and called it a day.

My factory installed trail rail system on my ‘22 Rubicon has all hex heads, including the two at the back.

Teraflex Uinta rails were complete, straightforward install, and reasonable priced.
Do the Teraflex attachments fit on the Mopar Rails? I think they do, but wanted to verify
