Mount winch on stock Mojave bumper?

Can I mount a winch on the stock Mojave number or do I need a special bumper for that? I did some trails today and there were a couple of times where I though I would get stuck and need to winch myself out.

You can add a winch, with some modifications.
There are several here who have posted threads on doing it, including some brilliant installations that have the winch all but hidden.

I ran the JK model on my 2014 Wrangler and was satisfied with it. If they were not late bring a JL/JT version out, I would probably be running it also.

Jobofly search the winch recovery section, there are guys that have put various brand winches, on plastic bumpers each different but all pretty nice, bonus is there is considerable weight savings possible. I did it, and looked at the others that did it, including a guy on the Wrangler forum, I used a LOD winch plate, some used Warn and others....Jack

As others have said, there are some that have done it. Just realize that there is as much strength in that stock bumper as what's in a tinfoil serving tray. The metal that is in the stock bumper is not much thicker than a body panel, and will not take much effort to bend it into your tires.
