Bugs hitting me in the head off the mirror when windows down. Bad Jeep.

So i took a few off the face this past summer, about 20-30 mph (40-60 km/h) windows down and the angle of the mirrors send harder body or larger bugs right into my face or side of head, worst one was a wasp stung me as it bounced into side of my head off the mirror then ricochet off my head out the back window which was down also, kids thought that was hilarious. I keep it together just fine as a couple decades of motorbikes and several stings even having them land in my lap between legs/nuts and gas tank so this was easy peasy in comparison the rodeo's i've had on two wheels. Still...

Jeep, wtf, fix that shat. The mirrors should not be sending bugs into thy face.

Anyone else eating some bugs? Luckily nothing has hit me in the eyes yet.

You could duct tape a downward angled piece of metal on front of your mirror to deflect everything down.

The body of my side mirrors are angled towards the Jeep and I've never had any issues with bugs.

Just lower the front windshield...wind direction changed and problem solved

Next time pay attention to the vehicle in front of you. Could be a guy just spitting his chew out the window.

i was hit before and after installing these so no change, not really a huge deal but 6 years with my ram 1500 and lots of window down and never hit once, took a few good ones in first summer with the Jeep

Interesting timing on this tread, as just yesterday I had the front window down and a wasp was bounced along the inside part of the side mirror and onto my shirt. I grabbed it and tossed him out the window, but it was something I hadn’t experienced before!
