Should add to this list:

Also wondering what having the Tonneau cover does to the mileage. It's gotta help a bit aerodynamically.
Naked (no doors or top), Semi-Naked(no top), or fully dressed (bummer)
Was actually stated (I want to say proven, but will get called out for that) by one of the larger groups, (MAY have been Motortrend) a long time ago that a tonneau not only would not help, could hurt mileage.
The thinking was that the tailgate created a high air pressure zone in the bed and air would flow over the whole bed better.

I would assume a cover would reduce drag, and I was looking at quite a few articles that actually tested it out and showed improvement. I want to say Mythbusters did an episode on this. Then I read consumer reports and they said it reduced MPG in their testing.

Moral of the story, tests are stupid

Wow, you guys are lucky. What is wrong with my Rubicon Launch. Stock drive-train and I'm averaging 11.4mpg. I'm running about 37psi cold, 39 warm. My friend is getting 16mpg with his. Does anybody else have this bad of mpg.

My first tank of gas had an average of 14.6mpg, it’s been steadily increasing to average of 18.2. I’m honestly surprised and very pleased to have a Jeep get that kind of mileage...but I’m a CJ and TJ guy so I had the bar set real low for fuel efficiency. For reference, my wife drives a 2019 Honda Pilot and she’s averaging 18.6mpg with basically the same driving patterns as I have.

i haven't kept great track of my mileage so I won't fill out the form just yet, but what I found very interesting is that I picked up my dad's EMPTY 6x10 trailer and hauled it 5 miles to my house going about 75mph I got 12.3mpg. I then drove it about 20 miles to pick up a load of wood and was still at like 12.7mpg.

After driving back home 20 miles with it fully loaded 6'x10'x22" with wood, i had 14.5mpg. When it was loaded up i only drove 65-70.

So apparently wind/grade and speed has a tremendous impact on the mpg while towing with the truck.

How the HELL are you guys getting such great mileage ?
I have an LE with 35s and THE ABSOLUTE BEST I have gotten so far in mostly city driving is 13.6!!
What the hell is wrong with my truck? I am feathering the throttle and have almost never gone WOT.

13.6 is pathetic. Supposedly the dealer did a "Mopar Calibration" when they installed the new wheels and tires but man, I'm getting murdered over here.

I do almost all City driving with about 10 miles of highway driving in between. And it's mostly in traffic. But I would expect 15-17 for that. Not 13.5.

Is it possible the calibration is not done correctly? How can I make sure?
I’d try an Edge Products Pulsar tuner. Around $600.

Here are my stats. I do see alot of complaints about low MPG for some and there is a huge factor that I have not seen anyone say yet. if you run your AC all the time your MPG will also drop dramatically. I have been driving new cars for years and it is very true that after a couple thousand miles your MPG will level out to what the norm should be. I will be able to give a better read on that in another 1400 miles or so. I have not had time to do alot of driving yet with it as my kids are playing alot of sports and just going back and forth to that mostly since I picked it up.
