Only 3.6 lost the covers. 3.0 basically NEED them because the injectors are obnoxious otherwise. There’s a total of like 6 sound deadners on eco diesels.
Curious to your thoughts on the foam and cover if it's really necessary other than sound proofing ? There's one around the Egr pipe I think.

Eventually nothing but sound and looks. I argue it’s necessary for consumers unless they want their eco diesel to sound like a Cummins. There’s the main cover, 2 on each cylinder head upper area on either side of the one in the rear above the turbo area. And 2 or 3 in front by the belt.

Yeah, that would be great, but even as a federal employee I don't qualify for membership.
You might check on that to be sure. They have been on a growth campaign for the past few years, and advertising quite a bit. I’ve been a USAA customer for decades and am very happy. They don’t always have the best rates, but they DO have the best service. And they have really good people answering the phones and working hard to help you. Give them a call and ask.

good rates with Gupton or you got what you needed to arrange your own financing? hoping gupton's are decent
Yeah so their financing application is weird. You select the exact term length you want and I guess they only check against that length. I selected 84 months to theoretically cover all options but it doesn't work like that, I guess. So I got like 4% at 84 months. I'll ask about other options when I get there but if not I'll just ride it out until my 7 month requirement runs out and then I'll refinance with my CU.

Yeah, I'm not going to fly out there only to find out that my best option is a note at 11% interest when my CU ranges from 2.35%-3.24%
My dealer won't say a word about finance rates until I'm there in person to pick up the truck. I will call my CU in advance to be able to compare rates, but the customer hostile attitude pisses me off.

Thanks! That's good info to have. I might end up taking them off, I like the noise ?

Yeah I’m running the numbers on that too. It’s looking like the extra 1% savings plus increased cost in interest over a 7 month period would net out any savings or at least not be worth my time. My credit union is doing a crazy 1.00% refinance program so I’ll probably just pay cash and “refi”.

Yeah, that's shady AF. They want to get you in to tempt you with monthly payments rather than actual terms.

Some possible bad news about plant closures from the JL forums.

Quoted Post:

My Cousin works at the Jeep plant building the wranglers. They were sent home early on Wednesday due to parts shortage and all shifts were called off yesterday and today. She said there are rumors they will resume production tomorrow but she wasn’t 100% sure. She said the gladiator side was running up through today but they have stopped production as well now.

For those who bought from Gupton. How many miles did your JT have on it when you bought it? I just don't want to think mine is being used for lunch runs, test drives, demos, etc until I pick it up.

I better check and see if I moved back to D1!
I just checked with Jeep Chat and I am back at D1 status! What a surprise. I checked yesterday and was still D regressed. Now if they can just start the build before the parts are taken again…

not terrible for 84 months. I’ll likely do the same. Get the 1% financing with Gupton discount, super low payment for 7-8 months, then refi

I started to freak out when my Mojave came in because it had 46 miles on it when it came off the transporter. I was fuming, then I saw the sticker that it was subject to additional quality checks. I think its normal to have 10 to 30 miles, anything over that and I would be curious to know how those miles got on it.
