I dont think my jeep has xm but if you put a pv panel over an antenne it will definitely disrupt it.
My intention is toss a decom frame panel between these crossbars whenever one of my branches pulls some in the size range I need

Fusion 73.5” wide 4.88 Auburn ECTED with wilwood 6 pistons
Front is a kingpin d60
Rear is a d80

Apparently there was an issue with gear hardening during range of time mine were belt so I could be affected. Wont know till the end of next week. If I am, it’ll be 5.13 instead
I’m curious what made you choose the Auburn ECTED?

I wanted electric this time around and as opposed to the lock and wait or lock and rock im sure youve seen with the eatons, the auburn will lock under throttle even with different tire speeds.

it’s obviously could be dangerous to make a habit of this but being able to make a decision on the obstacle was compelling. Being common in military applications was also pretty reassuring

Bumper looks great but where is the license plate going to go? Frenched into the tailgate would be cool perhaps….Jack

Theres a cool bracket that comes with the bumper for the plate. Its designed to go bottom left on the gate where the diesel badge is but I have another idea. gotta disassemble the gate to see if it’ll work

Looks great!

Good choice on the gray with the orange.
Thanks bud! Theres a secret to the grey too. Once it drives it’ll be fun to see.

fed ex just dropped of the driveshafts.
powertrain should be all connected up today
Tires are still to arrive but theoretically in the next 24 hrs it could be sitting on them.

What size tires are you gonna run? I've got 42" tires with 4.56s and I think the gears are too deep for road driving. I'm at ~2,200 rpms at 75 MPH and just burning fuel...I could be at 1750 rpms and still be at 75mph with the diesel. Now I didn't build this thing for gas mileage but I'm on the road 90% of the time. Since the ecodiesel isn't starved for power at low RPM I don't know if deeper gears are necessary. It's always a balance between drivability and off-performance so no judgement if you go to 5.13s...just sharing my experience.

42 baja boss, which is not the tire i was promised but they cant come till January now. I definitely understand where you are coming from but in monitoring temperatures the diesel seems to want to hang out in the 1900-2100 range with big tires. Its all a balance but im comfortable hanging out at 72 which seems to be the point at which wind starts really wreaking havoc mpg wise. I also requested a slightly modified tune as well based on that speed so my fueling profile will be a touch different. Im actually anticipating to 19-20 mpg since the entire suspension is aluminum as well as the armor, outside the shell of the rock rails and I wont have anything up above the cab increasing drag.

Before this I was seeing 23 mpg on 39s with stock gears locked into 7th with all the extra stuff still underneath

I love you, Solar, but if you average better than 12-13mpg, I’d be incredibly shocked. I get about that with my 37’s and 5.13’s.

Edit: I somehow forgot it was a diesel. Ok. You’re probably right. Dammit.
