About 2 weeks ago I dropped my Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Diesel at the shop because there was metal in the fuel filter...
After a few days Jeep offered me 65$ a day to cover a rental. Meanwhile I see members on this forum who's Jeeps are without issue getting repaired (new stock), and even Jeep Diesel mechanic's fixing their personal vehicles with the replacement parts... Meanwhile mine sits at the dealer with No ETA.
I went to 4 different rental car facilities and couldn't find a single AWD or 4WD vehicle for rent that fits within the allocated budget by Jeep. I'm not picky either, a KIA with AWD would be fine.... Everything around Denver is practically double... It's not even close.... I even went to enterprise and drove off the lot in a Toyota Tacoma not realizing they had rented me a 2x4... I promptly turned around and dropped it off....
So I reluctantly decided to continue driving my Miata...... because at least it has decent tires on it......
Well it started snowing today and I spent 4 hours stranded in my Miata because of the snow...... (pregnant wife needed supplies from the store / pharmacy)
If you have ever sat in a Miata you will understand what this is like.......
How in the living hell, can Jeep continue to fix vehicles on the lot.. sell them to make money.. while offering people a rental allowance that will not rent an AWD or 4WD vehicle..... How is it fair that they continue to sell trucks, while other trucks are being driven with an active Saftey recall.
I called Jeep Cares today, and was told they typically only offer 40 dollars a day, and there was nothing they can do for me. @JeepCares ...
This is just insane to me... Big company can fix cars on their lot that have a Safety Recall so they can make money... Allowing their own employees access to the parts, while I get to sit on the sidelines stuck in the snow.
I'll be honest, what Bosch did with the CP4 is unforgivable, and the way Jeep is delegating parts is disgusting....
If there was anything I could say to the leadership team over there... I wish all of you had a Jeep EcoDiesel trying to wade through your completely inadequate system.
