About 2 weeks ago I dropped my Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Diesel at the shop because there was metal in the fuel filter...

After a few days Jeep offered me 65$ a day to cover a rental. Meanwhile I see members on this forum who's Jeeps are without issue getting repaired (new stock), and even Jeep Diesel mechanic's fixing their personal vehicles with the replacement parts... Meanwhile mine sits at the dealer with No ETA.

I went to 4 different rental car facilities and couldn't find a single AWD or 4WD vehicle for rent that fits within the allocated budget by Jeep. I'm not picky either, a KIA with AWD would be fine.... Everything around Denver is practically double... It's not even close.... I even went to enterprise and drove off the lot in a Toyota Tacoma not realizing they had rented me a 2x4... I promptly turned around and dropped it off....

So I reluctantly decided to continue driving my Miata...... because at least it has decent tires on it......

Well it started snowing today and I spent 4 hours stranded in my Miata because of the snow...... (pregnant wife needed supplies from the store / pharmacy)
If you have ever sat in a Miata you will understand what this is like.......

How in the living hell, can Jeep continue to fix vehicles on the lot.. sell them to make money.. while offering people a rental allowance that will not rent an AWD or 4WD vehicle..... How is it fair that they continue to sell trucks, while other trucks are being driven with an active Saftey recall.

I called Jeep Cares today, and was told they typically only offer 40 dollars a day, and there was nothing they can do for me. @JeepCares ...

This is just insane to me... Big company can fix cars on their lot that have a Safety Recall so they can make money... Allowing their own employees access to the parts, while I get to sit on the sidelines stuck in the snow.

I'll be honest, what Bosch did with the CP4 is unforgivable, and the way Jeep is delegating parts is disgusting....

If there was anything I could say to the leadership team over there... I wish all of you had a Jeep EcoDiesel trying to wade through your completely inadequate system.

You're entirely right, but it won't matter. Their priority is sales over everything else. All stop sales vehicles will be fixed before they touch a customer car because that's what auto makers care about. Not unique to stellantis. Just look at Ford with the Broncos and fixing the roofs on new units before any customer unit or building and shipping broncos with some missing chips promising to have the dealer update them post sale.

It's all the kind of nonsense that happens when you're only looking at the next quarter instead of thinking about the next quarter century.

I gree with you OP. The idea should be since it is YOUR problem from YOUR product that YOU built, and that's what the warrantee is all about....well, you have to offer me the vehicle or equivalent. In my case I need a 4WD Truck, has to be for my needs. So if it wasn't that, why would I pay to cover the cost when I already paid to own the vehicle and that's what I bought...and a warranty as a guarantee.

Unfortunately....we, as consumers, as a whole have delt with compromise after compromise....we selected cheap over service for so long, everywhere....that's it's hard to find good service. The good news some companies are literally doing the opposite. Deciding to make customer service priority, and in doing so winning. Now we just need a car company to step up. After all, $20 out of the customers pocket/day might matter...Stellantis can afford it.

Let's go Jeep. Do it the right way, for the right reasons. Stockholders can see down quarters when you show positive metrics elsewhere with the longer outlook positive. People WANT a brand to believe in.

Sorry...went on a rant....

Absolutely true with crap service and unreasonably low allowance for rental. My Gladiator sat at the dealership for 2.5 months for 02 sensors. I was fortunate enough to get a used loaner from them and then 2 Gladiator Rubicon’s till mine was done and yes I was the extremely fortunate one. Jeep corporate is absolutely useless and a big money grab. Hope the strike was a kick in the balls!

@MNDZLJT has already explained how he was able to fix his... no different than you getting some benefit fixing your computer if you worked for the computer company... so I don't think it's fair to keep using his situation as a bitching point.
But
I feel you though, I've gotten 3 recall letters, been told that parts are available... yet my dealerships in the area are clueless.... they just say no parts, no ETA. Or I hear about how they have been working on it for over a year... and still have no answers.

I'm sorry for your situation... you need the replacement because of a failure/contamination.

I'm actually scared to have it done... because currently I have no issues.... until some hung over tech counting the minutes until he can take a nap cracks open my Jeep and creates problems... On the other hand... if I continue to drive, all will be fine until the recall/warranty is over.

I'm personally going to the dealership, and DEMANDING they place the order... I don't care if it's not available or about ETA's

I hope you get somewhere with your fix... but best your going to do on the forum is vent, nobody here has the answer either.
