I have Dirty Life Mesa Dark Bronze wheels. I wanted to powder coat my tow hooks to match the wheels. Any ideas on a similar color?

I already reached out to dirty life who told me they use “blends that could contain slight variations” so no help there.

The powder coater should be able to help with that. Each one typically uses their own supplier, so you need to find a color in their palette.

Assuming you are using a pro powder coater they should be able to find something close from prismatic powders. They'd be the best ones to match it.

I will be utilizing the services of a pro, however, I will be buying my own powder. I was looking to see if anyone had already done something similar and had some pictures as examples.

Make sure with the one doing the work the actual amount of powder needed.. it's usually far less than you'd anticipate. As mentioned, prismatic is a good choice.

Just give it to the powder coater and tell ‘em what you want. They do this stuff every day, no need to search for colors.

Normally I would agree, but that's not an option in this case.

If you order your powder through prismatic they offer free swatches to match.
You can order a stack of sample swatches at Prismatic and only pay a small shipping free. They go out fast too, I've never had to wait more than a week for samples. Once selected, grab a few pounds which would be enough to re-coat the wheels too when the time comes along with anything else you'd like in the future. I've got boxes laying around from 5 vehicles ago hehe. Very nice truck btw.

Prismatic as everyone else mentioned is a great place to pick up powder. I've used their powder on a couple DIY projects at home. For tow hooks, you don't need more than a pound of powder.

If you can't find a color you love with Prismatic, check out Columbia Coatings as well. Both top notch powder suppliers. Columbia Coatings - Bronze Prismatic Powders - Bronze

Did Prismatic Bronze Chrome. Not an exact match but I'm very happy with the result.
