first let me say I dont own one yet however by this time tomorrow I may, 'she who makes life miserable' as decreed the Dodge cummins and the Scrambler must go and with the perpetual delay of the diesel Gladiator I guess I will be getting a gas motor one from dealer stock. A couple of questions as the one Im looking at is missing a couple of things.
1) the Aux switch package, can that be retrofitted once I get it home by ordering the panel and switches from Jeep and plugging into an existing pigtail?
2)Anyone install the Vector OR Bar with the 67D phone and junk mounts? Happy? NOt at all happy? Could you install without laying down the windshield?
3) Market for stock Rubicon wheels? I dont like them and think I want to make a quick change despite being told not to 'start changing stuff on it right away', silly woman!
4)a friend has JK rubicon and said he was able to select tranny temp in the gauges on the display, I dont see that on the Glad specs Ive seen, is it possible?
5) What are yall doing to keep rocks and sand out from between the body and fenders? I havent looked yet but I see it a recurring topic on the things people dislike about the jeep

I'm sure I'll have more once I get it

thanks all, I appreciate the input

Anyone want a high miles but very nice 06 5.9 cummins mega cab laramie truck with a shell and 315s?
The AUX package can be installed. I'm not sure how much the switches cost. but one you install it the dealer will need to program it to the car. We called yesterday to get the price and it was $220 for the programming, according to them it takes half a day. I'm in SOCAL.
My had his JL wheels posted for a $1000 for about a month and finally sold em for $800.

When it is all said and done, you will have wished to have found a Gladiator with the Aux switch packaged installed from the factory.

Anything you can order from the factory, go ahead and order it. Most times you'll save money, but you also won't have to worry about shop monkeys screwing up an installation.

JScan can flash the switches as well and is a cheaper option than the Tazer. Around $90 compared to $329, IMO, worth it. You only get a few extra features on the Tazer that aren't on the JScan, but the developer is steady adding new features and updates. As far as getting the switches from factory, if it's only $300 that's a no brainer to get them factory installed. I'll be adding them to mine but doing the install myself, seems pretty easy from what my buddy told me. Took him around 2 hrs to do the job on his JL.

Maybe half a day to install them and flash the computer, only took about 10 minutes to flash them with the JScan on a JL which I would think is pretty close to the same as the JT.

Why doesn't this get more attention? Seems like a pretty solid unit and easy install.

That looks like a good deal for anyone who didn't get the Aux switch and don't have a Rubicon too (In dash mount) on dash other wise. I'm betting on down to road some JT Rubicon axles will be out on the for sale with lockers or just selectable lockers that could use one or two of the switches. there is another switch group that's available after market to I don't remember where it's from, using a small remote nothing else to run into cab.

Back some what on track of thread... A lot of buyers would jump on just buying the hood with the "Rubicon" markings for just the look. If I was buying a Rubicon it would have to have it's badging or I'd pass or not pay any where near as much. To many products (vehicles) are being passed off as something they are not. Now CJ8 or CJ6 and LJ (Rubicon or not) not a problem, no hiding what they are. Limited production runs vehicles. I've had people follow me just to try to buy my LJ. Something to think about on the hood badge "Rubicon"

Paying $1,600 for something I could have only paid $300 as a factory-installed option is a hill I'm willing to die on. That's ridiculous to pay that much.

Personal opinion.
He did say rims. I've seen the rims with almost new tires (100 or less miles) go for $1400 on Craigslist but they take a while to sell. I sold my JK Rubicon Hard Rock Rims 2 years ago without tires for $400 and they took a long time to sell. I've seen Rubicon rims only on Craigslist for $200 for 4 of them so I'm not sure where the $1600 came from (other than crazy Ebay listings) for a set of Rubicon Rims.

As for the switches, I won't get an sPOD again, had problems from day one, sent back to factory twice, they replaced the board and the problem still exists. I ordered the factory switches because it is an easy and clean install already. Anything you buy from the dealer to add later will always cost you more than what the sticker price would have been, 2 to 3 times more.

I've had Vector bars on both of my JKs and will order one for the JT. I like how I can organize and mount my GPS, phone holder, iPad mount, SPOT and ACR ResQLink. Yea it's a lot of chit but it's better than several suction cups on the windshield and I keep Ram Mounts in business too. BTW, it is easy to install.

Sand between fenders and body? I live in the desert, never had that issue yet in the last 20 years with any Wrangler, TJ, JK or the new one. I do get sand between my Rockslide Engineering Step Sliders though but I've had two sets on JKs now and a set for the JT, they aren't cheap but I swear by them.

Yes you can see the tranny temp on the display, check your owners manual or ask the dealer to show you.

Enjoy your new JT

You can also order it with the upper dash mount

Chris; I seen that and was why I noted in my response just after the Rubicon comment. "On the dash other wise" a good option as well for less money. :)

Thanks guys. I picked it up saturday. Towed my trailer with building supplies on it to our land in southern colorado just fine. Mods are on indefinite hold as everything and anything I start gets crap from the parasite so for now its parked as is. I'll do the fender welting and hood lifts since they're ordered already but the mod money will go into my scrambler I guess and I'll only use the truck to travel in. Huge waste getting the Rubicon or even the jeep. I could have gone base model frontier

But thanks again. I found the instrumentation screens and was happy to find all I did I'd like to display them all continuously but having them is better than not

All my stuff doesn't fit lol going from a 2500 mega cab to this has required a lot of culling....

Now that you’ got it, time to posts pics of it and the scrambler!
