just spoke to two different dealers. One told me he had just received training from the local rep. No official price guidelines but that the base models would be starting at about 31k. Also said they will begin receiving and taking orders in April. We’ll see...

If that price turns out to be correct then I would be very pleased. But I have often said that at times “IF” can be a big word. Let’s cross fingers.

Regarding the training I would be more than surprised if any dealership gets training 4 to 5 months before a new model is due to hit dealership lots.

Just paid one of my local dealerships a visit (I have been to several now just trying to make a presence). I wasnt greeted with any new information really but if you are int eh Raleigh Area, there are going to be 2 JT's at the auto show this weekend. Sadly I am out of town.

Other things I learned at this dealer is that they do not charge a destination fee and I was bale to negotiate with them today (ish). He said if I had Tread Lightly he could do guaranteed 3% below invoice. We shook on it. figured with out having to pay destination that is essentially 6% below. Im not greedy i do not need any more than that. They also are one of the highest volume movers on the east cost (or maybe southern east cost) and they have an award or agreement with FCA that they are guaranteed to be the first in the area to get/order any new vehicle for 30 (maybe I miss heard this) days .

I know i know dealers... trust them as far as you can throw them... but if half of what they are telling me is true than Im in good shape.

Well, they gotta start somewhere . . . they don't have 3000 "teachers" to send out all at once the week before ! Of course I'm just guessing .

Sounds logical. About 2 weeks ago I looked at the new Honda Passport, just keeping options open. Anyway the sales lady there got the training from Honda just 3 weeks ago, a whopping 2 weeks before they got the all new car. I got no clue what is standard in the industry but tend to doubt they would start with training this far ahead of production. My humble 2 cents opinion.
