Motoarch, how did you take delivery? Did you fly down there?

How is this valid on 4XE's if Jeep isn't taking any 4XE orders anymore? Is it just whatever is in stock?
How does it work with trade-in's? Is anyone trading anything in? I don't think I'm trading in, but I am curious just in case.
If one has a FCA(whatever the heck it is now) friend's/family number, how does that work?

I have a $1750 FCA offer mailer that expires at the end of August. I am very tempted, but it probably won't work. It's not valid on the models in which I have interest, but it might sway me anyway.
I drove down with a friend. It was about 3.5 hours from my house.

I didn't have a trade in so it was a non issue for me.

I can't answer any of the other questions.

I'm sure Tom will get back to you though regarding those things. When I started talking to him on gen6 I did it through messaging him directly and that seemed to get the best response. His email should be linked to his profile so you may want to try him that way if your serious about buying.

I purchased my Gladiator from Tom a couple months ago and it was an easy process with no bullshit. He delivered everything he promised and there was no pressure for add ons or anything I didn't want and he let me finance the way I wanted to.

Im from out of state so I was a bit nervous as this was my first new vehicle purchase across state lines but his team did all the heavy lifting and got all my paperwork and registration taken care of. I didn't have to do anything.

The best part was how responsive he was to all my communications and request. He didn't dump me off to a sales man but took care of everything himself and responded almost immediately (even on his days off, sorry Tom).

I know it sounds like I'm shilling hard for the guys but given how easy my purchase was and how happy I still am a couple months removed from the process I say he deserves a good word.

I was a Bronco reservation holder and found him via the Bronco 6Gen forum. I admit when he first showed up offering 4% off the Bronco when few dealers were willing to move off MSRP and some were even pushing for prices way over MSRP I was skeptical and thought he was sketchy and full of shit but bit my lip as it were not saying anything publicly on the forum. I happy I kept my mouth shut because ended up buying a Jeep through him and he delivered.

You wont regret dealing with Tom.
Thank u! I really appreciate u taking the time to write this! Thank u!!!

Went from 7% to 6% off real quick. What happened? Was stoked about the possibility of ordering close to home for a 2022 JTRD. Additional 2% that we now pay tax and interest on compared to Gupton. $1200 - $1400 in total additional savings has me leaning towards making the TN road trip.

Between tolls, gas, food breaks, possibly an overnight hotel, and your time is it really worth the 1-2%? Plus, I’m not sure how much money you make but around 10 hrs of driving x $20 hr, there’s another $200. Makes me chuckle when I read stuff like this.

I fly for free (points) and run my own company, makes my hours flexible. Not worried about opportunity cost. Realize I am more fortunate in that aspect than others. Non the less, I am a consumer looking for the best deal. Also hate the idea of paying taxes in general so any chance I get to screw the government out of little money Ill take it. More so curious as to how the economics of the dealership changed. What was the driving factor to reduce the % off invoice? How is it possible no one else offers the same deal as the 1 or 2 dealers at 8% plus incentives?

I’m with you on government taxes but here in California it doesn’t matter where you buy it. Taxes are where you live (register it).

If you took a weekend away, you’d spend that without thinking. So consider it a mini vacation that comes with a Gladiator!

I think this is an interesting discussion. I USUALLY see this in terms of people buying local at MSRP versus traveling which makes me chuckle because if their time is THAT valuable then why are they even bothering to shop around :)

But you're right at a 2% spread makes things a lot tougher. If our hypothetical buyers lives considerably closer to this dealer vs Gupton, but not right on top of it, let's say they're flying then then driving back 600 miles. $100 in gas; tolls will be $0 for most folks given none in TN, as well as none in NC or VA en route to Gupton from the east coast/mid Atlantic; food is only a cost if you're eating substantially cheaper at home, and given one can eat for <$10 per meal on the road I'll price this at $25 which is probably generous; a hotel is reasonable but we only need a place to sleep for one so I'll say $90. That's $215 in costs before plane ticket against a cost savings of about $1,000. Worst case we're probably like $500 in costs and ~13 traveling hours, which given they'll be spent listening to the radio in one's brand new Jeep are less 'costly' than an hour of work for most people. I think that works out to being generally worthwhile, but not for well-paid folks with little leisure time and/or people where the overnight away is challenging (like parents of small kids).

Best case though, one can fly for as little as $20 (as in, my own ticket to Gupton will cost $20) since Nashville is well-served by the discount airlines. And I can fly in early enough to not need a hotel. So my costs are like $150 direct to save that $1k, and I'm more than happy to listen to fantasy football podcasts on the ride back at an implied pay rate of $80/hr :)

Well I wish I could still help. I got mine at 8% off from Elliot at SLC valley Jeep. Sport S Ecodiesel. They aren't offering that much off anymore to my knowledge. Give him a shout and see what he can do. I flew in from Reno. Drove home that night.
